THREE RESPONSES TO THE NEWSLETTER YESTERDAY
Thanks for this sock’s newsletter, Jerry.
I have been enjoying my Lamilite socks with my running shoes for the two mile morning walk with the dogs.
Yesterday one of them fell into their water bowl from the clothes hamper where my shoes and socks reside while I'm getting dressed. It was soaked but I just rung it out put it on.
I was perfectly comfortable as it dried as I walked.
They're superior to cotton sweat socks!
Thanks for a great product.

First, I'll apologize for not
thinking about it either Jerry. I'll be a testimony to Jason's testimony. We
cross-country skied and snowshoes in AK when it was pretty cold. Ok it was only
-40 for those wondering. Never made two thoughts about having cold feet with my
Wiggy’s socks. Love them!! Thanks Jerry. Excellent product. It didn't matter
what boots I had on as long as they worked for the occasion, just wore Wiggy’s
and I was good. We also have four of your sleeping bags. Those rock too.

Feet!
We were always told to take care of our feet in the military, but some of the gear issued to us made that a real challenge.
Lamilite insoles comes to mind; does this sound like a good idea?
I never used (or was issued) felt insoles, but we were issued insoles made of a light yellow/brown nylon
which looked similar to a thick monofilament fishing line, woven into a sort of double layered net form. [Actually, I tried making a product like this.]
They do work, I still use them (can be hard to find, though) almost 50 years later.
Every time I take a step, I pump air in & out of the sole area of my feet.
I'll have to get another Wiggy's sleeping bag since my old one was stolen, right in the campground I might add.
I was talking to a USFS Forest Ranger, he told me the influx of gang members
from big cities, and of thieves in general, is why they all now carry a sidearm. (pistol)
LOVED the Wiggy's bag I had which is why I'm getting a replacement.
nothing else comes close. I have several bags from other manufacturers like Slumberjack and Snugpak
which were supposedly made in the USA [I do not know if the slumberjack bag was made in USA during his time but I do know snugpak has never been in the USA, but the UK or China] for some of our military special forces’ units --- what a bad joke.
I think of lame manufacturers like those the same way I'd think of someone sabotaging our gear,
because as far as I'm concerned, this is exactly what they're doing, not to mention not giving
the American taxpayers their money's worth, & essentially lying to them about their product quality & performance.
Thanks for the high quality, warm, sturdy sleeping bags, Wiggy!
Sincerely,
Franz Miller

Since day one of Wiggy’s I have been receiving letters about the Wiggy bags and now getting letters i.e., testimonials about the other products Wiggy’s is producing is very gratifying. The socks have been on the market 5 years and so many have been sold that testimonial are finally coming from people who have been using them for quite some time.
I receive online publications daily and as the seasons change many companies show some professional who has used their product supposedly for the previous winter and claims how wonderful it is. The next year these same companies have a new professional promoting their new product that they have used for the previous year that is better. Of course, the company employee spewing the new information has placed the employee who spewed last years information. I also keep reading about who replaced who in the higher achey at these companies. It is like musical chairs.
When someone writes to me about the success, they have had with one of my products after years of use I view them as the professional. Periodically I receive a letter from someone who is going on an expedition and wants one of my bags because they heard how good they are. They tell me they will give me pictures and a story about the bag’s performance. I tell them to order the bag or bags online.
If they happen to call me, I tell them I went on a sailing adventure and never even thought to ask someone to support me. All I knew at the time was that I wanted to sail and all preparations were my responsibility. Asking someone to finance what I wanted to do would have been brazen or maybe obscene on my part. Having said this, I am sure I will in the future be contacted by someone looking for a handout.
CLIMATE CHANGE AND SLEEPING BAGS
From my perspective I would prefer that the warming trend not be happening, but it is!!!
I have noted for years the various companies who market “no sleep sleeping bags” because people get cold in them. But I am missing the point about what these companies are making. They are making bags that will work perfectly well during the climate change warming period.
MITTENS
RENEGADE MITTEN
The best mitt I’ve found for snowshoeing. Your hands stay dry, not wet with perspiration. Good dexterity. Handy lanyard loop. No annoying elastic at the wrist – easy on and off.
SUPER MITTEN
The best cold weather mitten I’ve found, by far. A crucial component in my hunting kit. My hands stay dry. Never been so comfortable in my tree stand. Gauntlets are sized large enough to easily slip over my Fossil Ridge Parka. No annoying elastic at the wrist – easy on and off. Security with the lanyard loop.
PETE CLARK
Pete is a long time customer. I know he has many of the Wiggy products but I did not know he had both renegade and super mitts. I am glad he is able to pass on that moisture does not stay in the mittens etc.
