The Wiggy's sleeping bag guarantee is for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge. However, we reserve the right to examine any returned sleeping bag and will make the decision whether the return is justified depending on the appearance of the bag, demonstrating whether it has been properly cared for or shows signs of abuse.
The Ultra Light is a +20° F (approximately 0° C) rated mummy style bag. It is available in our standard four sizes.
When the Overbag is added to the Ultra Light the temperature rating becomes -20° F (approximately -30° C). When both bags are combined you have the Ultra Light FRTSS.
Wiggy's sleeping bags are legendary in the outdoor community. I had always heard fantastic things about them, from their durability, warmth, loft, packability and the insane warranty and customer service. When I finally pulled the trigger and bought one for myself I was NOT disappointed with your quality.
The first time I used my bag was on a miserable, windy 15° night next to a river. It was nasty cold and the bag kept me toasty warm below it's bottom rating. I love the hood and draw string, the zipper is rugged and easy to open and close, it's so warm, and the green color is even nice.
My only problem is that I didn't follow the very obvious posted advice.... ASK ABOUT SIZING! I bought my bag, realized it was more tight than I hoped for, and had to immediately go on the 3 week trip I got it for. By the time I had an opportunity to exchange it had been too long.
I'm about 5' 11", 185 pounds and athletic so it's really snug on me and takes some getting used to each trip. When it's financially viable for me, I may just have to buy a second bag that's 34" wide so I can be more comfortable. Kind of a bummer to have a retired bag so soon!
Get your sizing right and don't make my mistake! It's a fantastic bag, but I missed out on it being perfect for me because of how tight it is. Send an email, call, whatever you need to make the right purchase for you.

“Not sure if Wiggy’s hates me or will love me. Hate me because I am such a bad customer: Love me because why I am."
“I started a kayak tour company in 1988 and because I had bought bags from Jerry Wigutow’s previous company, I ordered 12 Wiggy’s 20 degree bags. Twenty years of use, 10 trips a year at least, washed after every trip = at least 200 washes and about 4,000 stuffing into compression stuff sacks. Makes me tired to think about it, usually my last packing task. The only damage to ANY of these bags is from a too-hot dryer that scalded the nylon off part of a bag. Most of the time they were line dried. They look used, which is fair, (sun from the line drying a part) and I thought about replacing just for a fresh look, but decided they did the job perfectly well."
“Every zipper works great, loft is better than new, the bags are awesome. I feel guilty to have been a one-time customer of Wiggy’s, but when you make a lifetime product, you only need one.”
Pretty much out of the outdoor business, but those bags I bought back in 1988 are mine and my son’s Boy Scout and kayak camping bags.

Hello Wiggy,
I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed my Wiggy's products over the last 15 years or so. I bought my first Ultralight bag and lamilite sweater in 1997. I have used both heavily since and they are still going strong. In fact, the jacket I wear daily from December to March, for work, play, whatever. It is simply the best article of clothing I have ever bought (rivaled only by my Kokatat dry suit…but that is another story). I have bought Ultralight bags for my wife and three children as well.

Hi Jerry,
I really like my new Wiggy's Ultralight bag!
I like the shape, the material, the raised lip around the head area, the colors, and the fit and finish. I tested it this past weekend and am very impressed.
What first amazed me is how small it is when stuffed. That was an unexpected bonus and a real advantage (especially when carried in a small Cessna). I also like the stuff sack and the included pillow. But even more, I like the fact it's made in USA.
I had been considering a new sleeping bag for several years now, but every time I'd look at them in the stores I would come away disappointed. I definitely didn't want a down filled bag with a single color choice of bright purple and pink, at a price of $330.00! Good grief.
I came across your ad in an older issue of Pilot Getaways magazine. I went on the web site, and after reading a bit I was sold on many counts, and ordered soon after. I was particularly impressed by the fact that Wiggy's makes the bags for the military. The other thing that impressed me was the selection of options such as width, length and colors. And the 20% off special was the icing on the cake. I expected to pay more (and would) for such a quality bag.
Thanks for a great product!
Sincerely,
– Charlie Rowlett (Camping now for 50 of my 54 years)
Jerry,
Just wanted to thank you for a great product. Just got back from a 13 day DIY sheep / caribou hunt in Northern BC. My new ultralight performed perfectly in very damp and difficult conditions where it was impossible to dry gear due to rain, sleet and snow. Just managing humidity in the tent (ie damp bag) was a constant challenge. I slept comfortably the whole time. It's nice to buy a quality American made product that is a good value and works perfectly.

Dear Mr. Wigutow,
I purchased a Wiggy's bag around 1995 from Brigade Quartermaster. I have thoroughly enjoyed warm, dry and restful sleep in this bag since I purchased it. (Even outdoors in the snow once, going against your recommendations I now know.) I was wondering if I could get the temperature rating for this bag please? I'm thinking it was the same as the Ultra Light, but I'm not sure. I have purchased an Overbag for the FTRSS recently, and it works GREAT! I'm looking forward to getting one for my wife, so I can hopefully convince her camping is not in an RV. Thanks for your help, and making a wonderful product. Please keep up the good work, especially since it's made in the U.S.A.
Regards,

Hello Jerry,
I received my sleeping bag this morning, exactly one week after I have placed my order, it's faster than in France ! Simply perfect.
Concerning the Ultra-Light, it's what I expected, the bag correspond exactly to my specifications. Back from Lapland where I walked 1600km in the wild, I wanted a really tough and rustic bag in view of next trips up there, even wilder. And really tough and rustic means Wiggys. I already have a Super Light giving me a great satisfaction but too heavy for this kind of trip. The Ultra-Light seems perfect and believe me, this bag will see life!
For the moment I will test it in France and Germany this fall. The trip in Lapland will take place next spring and summer. I plan to make a report on a french internet forum, I'll try to do one in english too, it can be interesting for you I think.
In the meantime, it's good to know that some manufacturer like you have the courage to go against current and to avoid compromises on the solidity and the quality. I'm glad to have the possibility to use your products even in France because the European brands, even the better ones, are really far from your sturdiness standards.
Kind regards,
a happy French customer.
