The Wiggy's sleeping bag guarantee is for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge. However, we reserve the right to examine any returned sleeping bag and will make the decision whether the return is justified depending on the appearance of the bag, demonstrating whether it has been properly cared for or shows signs of abuse.
I was able to buy a lightweight rip stop nylon recently at a very enviable price. I had in stock some of the 5 ounce Lamilite, so I have quilted the nylon to both sides of the Lamilite in an 8 inch vertical line pattern just like the comforters.
Weight: 3.5 lbs.
Insulation: Lamilite L-5
Fabric: 40 denier rip-stop nylon shell and lining
Zipper: #10 YKK molded tooth zipper—available with left or right zipper location for people who want to mate them
Size: 90" x 34" (Long/Wide)
Like all Wiggy's sleeping bags, these 40° bags are machine washable and dryable and come with the standard Wiggy's warranty.
I have not used this yet- just noting that it will pack into a 6L drybag, and fit through an 8" or 9" kayak hatch.
The drybag will be pretty rigid, so it might/might not bend into the storage area below a given hatch.
It looks very roomy and has that giant Wiggy's zipper = confidence!

Backpacking quilts are all the rage now, but you don't need one if you have this Wiggy's 40 degree bag. The Lamilite drapes well, it is cut roomy, and when it is zipped all the way down you still have the foot box to tuck your feet into. It is cheaper than most of the purpose-made quilts, and of course it is made in USA. As with all Wiggy's products, the quality is impeccable.

I was going to write a testimonial but saw I had one already there from 2020. So let me add to it I use it here in Oklahoma almost every night in my house year round unless its 20 or below and then i go to the superlite. I turn down the thermastat at night so it has paid for itsself many time over. What I was going to say was its still going strong after 2 years of continual use. All yall ought to get one there is really nothing like it else where. One of those rare things that went beyound my expectations.

All of my Wiggy's bags are rated at 20 degrees or colder. I live in WA. state and spend a lot of the summer sleeping outside in a hammock on our patio between the garage and the house.
It is a natural wind tunnel on our patio. There is almost always a breeze going through there every night. I live on Puget Sound. I ordered one of these bags to use for summer use because the 20-degree bags were too warm. Because of the constant moving air, and I have always been a "cold" sleeper (wearing socks to bed every night), I found the design of this bag--sewn thru the insulation every 8-inches, i was a bit on the cool side on some nights. After talking to Jerry, I ordered a second one and stuffed one inside the other and than i thought i haad died and gone to heaven. Everything changed. Head facing South toward the wind, the hood broke the wind and infinite adjustments available--arms between the bags on warm nights, ventilate my feet, or one zipper undown. I never have to cinch the bag down like cold weather because I am looking for ways to vertilate. Jerry says I now have a 20-degree bag if I need it. Both of them in an over-sized stuff bag makes a good camp lounger to sit on.

My early backpacking career was spent crawling into claustrophobic slim-line mummies, which for me, at 6' 4" and 220 lbs, tended to take all the fun out of the outdoors. When I discovered Wiggy's and started buying his bags, it was a revelation. It was possible to sleep comfortably in the back-country! Sure, they are bulkier than those old mummies, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. My most recent bag is a lightweight Wiggy's 40-degree bag currently on special. When I hit the woods again this spring and summer, I will be using it as a sleeping quilt. The zipper doesn't go all the way down, so it creates a foot box just like these fancy backpacking quilts that are all the rage---but for a fraction of the cost. Wiggy's continues to be the best American sleeping bag manufacturer that no one knows about...

Keep it handy around the house or when you travel you'll be reaching for it all the time. Packs small and is durable with the #10 zipper.

As I previously spake, I will be writing another review. So here it is. So after returning from the Philippines March 2019 I found the weather in Ohio to be cold and wet. Good test for my Wiggy's 40 degree mummy bag. As I am wont to do, I like to push my gear to the max. I used my 40 drgree bag on nights when the temps dipped to 25 degrees at night. Needless to say, my Wiggy's 40 degree mummy bag kept me warm even though the outside air temperature was far below the temp rating for the bag. I could not be more pleased with my Wiggy's product.

I purchased one of the 40 Degree Bags for an unusual purpose. My mother, now in her early 90's, lives near Tampa, Florida. She recently needed to start dialysis three times a week. Though Tampa is warm and humid, she said the dialysis clinic was always kept quite cold. Given that she must remain stationary for 3 to 4 hours, she said she always felt like she was freezing. She tried dressing in various outfits but always felt cold. She began using the 40 Degree Bag weeks ago and reported it is warm, cuddly, and comfortably roomy, yet wraps her completely. The left-hand opening zipper allows access for the connecting dialysis port. The bag deploys quickly, conveniently packs in a travel bag, and has the advantage of being easily washable if needed and quick drying. Thanks for a great product!
