Warranty Information
The Wiggy's sleeping bag guarantee is for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge. However, we reserve the right to examine any returned sleeping bag and will make the decision whether the return is justified depending on the appearance of the bag, demonstrating whether it has been properly cared for or shows signs of abuse.

The New Center Zip Military Sleeping Bag & Bivy
The Military Bag is a modern version of the original design that the military used during the Korean War; a center zip bag. A center zip bag is actually the best design for military application. When soldiers are in a combat zone they do not have the time to strip down and therefore they sleep in their clothing. In the event of an attack while sleeping, exiting their sleeping bag as quickly as possible becomes paramount. The Wiggy version of a sleeping bag and bivy bag provides the easiest access from a sleeping bag while giving the greatest comfort. There is a bottom slider that will allow venting from the foot area if necessary. The sleeping bag is fitted with a generous; wide draft flap behind the zipper.
There are two rows of snaps, one on each side of the zipper. One row is male snaps and the other female snaps. They have two purposes; one to allow the bag to be closed in the unlikely event the zipper where to break. I say unlikely because the zipper is the YKK #10 molded tooth zipper that Wiggys has used for 22 years and we have had virtually no field failures; that means no failures while the person has been using their Wiggy bag. The second reason is for the bag to attach to the bivy bag.
The bivy bag is made without a zipper. It is made with snaps that off set those on the sleeping bag. One side is the male and the other female snap. In this manner the bivi bag can be closed if used by itself. There is a generous flap that covers the center of the bivy to keep out rain. The bivy connects to the sleeping bag with the snaps and does not impede the opening of the bag in a hurry if that becomes necessary.

If it's not a Wiggys it's just a sack
I purchased my first Wiggys unseen on the recommendation of the late, and missed Chris Janowski of Tok Alaska. It was treasured and core item of kit until stolen. I replaced it after a financial cold spell with the military centerline model. I love this configuration and rapid entry/egress. The extra length ( I am 6' 2" ) offers safe overnight stowage of temperature sensitive items. I intend to purchase the mated bivy asap.
You get the best insulation, free shipping, stuff sack and pillow where other makers may not. Most important; ask Jerry a question nobody ever thinks to ask or nobody knows ( but will lie anyway for a sale.) I was thinking of a bag liner promoted to keep the bag cleaner and 'increase insulation.' Jerry was brief and succinct and I have a few more dollars to spend on my NEXT bag.– Christopher Kavanaugh

Another great US Made product
I’m an over the road truck driver. I was looking for a large warm and comfortable bag to use in my truck. Running my truck for my 10 hour break is expensive. It burns a gallon of diesel per hour at idle and it’s noisy. I have a bunk heater that uses very little diesel but makes it too warm and dries out my sinuses. Besides that I worry that a mechanical break down would leave me in trouble without a decent bag.
I’ve used the bag down to 25 so far and never felt cold. Since I’m inside a truck cab convection and conduction aren’t an issue. I wanted center zip so that it’s easier to vent the bag in warmer temps like 45-55. I was also surprised at how small the bag could get in the included stuff sack and how light it was for it’s size and temperature rating. I considered a surplus US Military bag but the size Weight and material just didn’t compare to s Wiggys.
I wish I had more of an adventurous story behind my back but the bottom line is that it is just as advertised and fills my need. I also try to buy US made products anytime I can.– Dan Guerriero

Used in Iraq and continue to use today
I recently was pulling up the info on some of the Kit I carried in Iraq during the Surge in 2007-2008 as a Security Forces Officer and wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for the great products you produce for the Military!
I never had to worry about my comfort in one of your bags and I continue to use the equipment as I take my son camping and he begins his Boy Scout experience. Thanks for making a quality product that stands-up under what we put equipment through and then some!– Joe
