Wiggy's Nomex Rig Clothing
Fire Retardant • Light in Bulk & Weight • Warm!
The Nomex Shirt Jacket is cut in a long length to insure that when you bend over the wind will not give you a chill. This jacket has two hand warmer pockets and two breast pockets to hold your belongings. Designed with a high collar it will also eliminate a draft to your neck. Nomex Fire Retardant material is used in construction with this garment as well as Lamilite 6oz insulation. On the cuffs of the sleeves we have sewn in Knit cuffing once again to keep the chill of the wind or air off of your skin.
Very impressed. Plenty if pockets and warmth. So far northern Nevada and Utah winters are no match. No more down jackets for me. Wind doesn't sneak in either.

Received it today,,and it was a bit larger than I anticipated to be a medium sized jacket,,but I will not return it,,the high collar should do very well if a strong breeze comes along,,nice side entry front pockets,,even has a inside drop pocket,,the 2 upper pockets should hold my personal belongings quite well since its has elasticized bindings,,glad I requested the safety reflective stripe,,Jerry Thank You,,I'll be shopping again for the sweater jacket

I have used this jacket for a year now; during harsh cold conditions primarily while logging trees with chainsaws and tractor with no cab. Has been a real treat because I have never gotten chilled like other oilfield parkas have failed when I got sweated up . Recently ; during the last 2 weeks I’ve been using this jacket for snowmobiling in -30 degrees for approximately 4 hours per day. The jacket kept me warm with the windchill at -45 degree. I wear the fishnet underwear; with a wool sweater on top; so the perspiration moves through the layers and through the coat. I am feeling blessed to have found this coat that works as hard as I do . I’ve worked outside in winter for over 50 years and this coat is my best one that I have ever used for working cattle; logging; and oilfield contract operating in central Alberta Canada.

Maybe a "shirt jac" for those in Alaska; however, this will keep me warm throughout the entire winter season in the Southeast. A SOLID tank of a garment that will last a lifetime. A tremendous value for a NOMEX jacket. Generous length in arms and body., high collar, internal pocket, and insulated hands pockets (nice). Thanks Wiggys.

Wore this (size Large, plain) for the first time yesterday. It was well below freezing and the shirt-jac worked like a champ. Really appreciate the placement/style of all the pockets. Built to last!

- [ ] I found myself at a winter campsite without a base camp jacket and I was cold. I’ve also ruined jackets standing near an open flame (with embers, etc). I decided to take a chance this summer, just in case they sold out, to get ready for next winter. I liked the high collar, so I can bury myself in a cocoon. Plus, being made from fire retardant material, I am safer near an open flame. Meanwhile, I was able to stuff the jacket into a 10 Liter : 7” x 16” compression stuff sack! Making it compact enough (7” x 10” compressed) to keep in my emergency kit. Just in case I need it to run into a burning building… lol. The jacket looks heavy, but feels light weight at 2lbs, and the color is a nice navy blue. I can see my wife stealing it from me at cold campsite …

I work on repairing wind turbine blades, where most of the year we are in good conditions and need nothing but a sweater, but for winter, we often do work on the ground and are stationed in places like Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, and other midwest places that are especially cold AND windy. Well, this jacket does exactly what it says. I stood fire watch for 2 hours in 15*f weather, my beard frozen, and wind howling. This jacket kept me toasty. This product beats any other brand of heavy winter coat you'll buy built in some chinese sweatshop. Features I appreciate are the deep pockets, long torso, collared wrists, and tall collar that I can practically duct my head inside when it gets really cold. This thing is a beast and I expect it to last my career in Wind. Thank you Wiggys

Yet another home run from Wiggy’s. Ordered this to replace my sweater. Nothing wrong with the sweater just too nice for work. The Nomex and reflective stripe made more sense.
So far I’ve worn it at the dog park. We had a very windy and cold weekend. 20+ mph winds and mid 30’s. Of course I stayed plenty warm. Even my dog was wearing Wiggy’s. He has his own jacket. Once it came time to walk I had to unzip. These jackets and shirts unzipped are warmer than anything you’ll buy with a fancy logo or name on it. Of course the quality is amazing and built in the US.
