The Wiggy's sleeping bag guarantee is for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge. However, we reserve the right to examine any returned sleeping bag and will make the decision whether the return is justified depending on the appearance of the bag, demonstrating whether it has been properly cared for or shows signs of abuse.
As it becomes available, I occasionally purchase large quantities of surplus material used to make the other lining of sleeping bags. Because of the lower prices of the material, I'm able to pass along the savings to customers. With the exception of the outer color, these bags are the same as their regularly priced counterparts. They come with standard stuff sacks, a pillow, and free delivery within the lower 48 states until the materials are gone.
The Ultra Light is a +20° F (approximately 0° C) rated mummy style bag. It is available in our standard four sizes.
The addition of the FTRSS Overbag adds approximately 40° of additional protection to each bag and the temperature rating becomes -20°F. When both bags are combined you have the Ultra Light FTRSS.
When selecting the Boat Foot option, like the name implies, the foot end of the bag will be shaped like the bow of a boat. The shape causes the Lamilite fiber to come together at the foot end of the bag increasing the insulation markedly and thereby increasing the Lamilite's ability to insulate. Then there is the hood section of the bag. It is flat to begin with, but when you start pulling the draw cord in tight the hood begins to form and a massive amount of insulation forms around your head.
Please note that the Long Length/Regular Width size option is not available with the Boat Foot. These bags all have a right handed zipper. If you need a bag with a left side zipper, please see our other Ultra Light sleeping bags.
All of my daughters have grown up with Wiggy’s. My original, trusty Wiggy — the one I’ve had since 1990 from my Marine Corps days — has always been with me. For over 30 years, it’s been my go-to blanket for lounging around the house. Growing up, my girls called it "The Marine Blanket," and there were more than a few times when they fought over it. The good thing was, it was a FRSS, so I’d break out the second one, and voilà! Now I had two "Marine Blankets," one thicker than the other.
As a true Wiggy fan, I’ve made sure all the beds in my house (five in total) are outfitted with Wiggy’s comforters. They’re used year-round and are just as comfortable in the summer months as they are in winter.
Anyway, I digress... This year, now that my oldest daughter is a young adult (20) with her own car, I thought it would be the perfect time to buy her very own Wiggy to keep in the car for emergencies. But let’s be real — I know she’s going to use it all the time. And why wouldn’t she?!
I bought her the Navy-colored Ultra Light sleeping bag. Wow, this thing is amazing! (I might just have to get one for myself. After all, I already have the exact same one in Coyote Brown... surely I need a Navy one too!)
