A NEW LIGHT WEIGHT BAG

I was able to buy a light weight rip stop nylon is a light green color recently at a very enviable price. I had in stock some of the 5 ounce Lamilite. So I have quilted the nylon to both sides of the Lamilite in an 8 inch vertical line pattern just like the comforters.

I am calling it a 40 DEGREE bag. It will only be made in the long wide body size. It will have our standard YKK #10 molded tooth zipper and a non-compression stuff sack. It will be available with either a right side or left side zipper. In this manner you will be able to mate the bags. It is as launder-able as all of the Lamilite insulated products made by Wiggy’s. The weight of the bag is 3.5 pounds.

The following quote is taken from the letter that the new President and CEO of REI COOP; Jerry Stritzke sent to his board of directors.

Having read the letter I thought this the most important misinformation that he came out with.

IF the policy is to offer for sale to their customers the “highest-quality, best value gear” they should be able to support the gears ability to perform with absolute proof of performance. When I have spoken with their representatives in customer service, I have been told they do not have written literature supporting the claims about Gore-Tex or any material advertised as waterproof and breathable. The reason is because none exists.

I believe that this company as well as a multitude of other retailers does not care about this products ability to perform, if they did they would have walked from waterproof breathable’ s years ago when they found it did not work.

After all Phil Tomlinson was aware of its inability to perform years ago when he was taking returns of garments from dissatisfied customers. Has that changed probably not, maybe the number of people who just suck up and keep the garments has grown?

I just think the head of a company should know if something does or does not perform and if it doesn’t it should be done away with.
