While I have not seen this particular product I do know that ALL polyester fiberfill stretches when it has pressure applied to it and the stretch will be in all directions. If you have a section that is 10 inches long and is ½ inch thick, when stretched to 14 inches if it does not tear it will be maybe a ¼ inch thick. Loss of loft means loss of insulation. Don’t they know that will be the outcome? If not what did they observe when they stretched the material to come up with the 40 percent number?

They are appealing to companies that market outerwear who have learned that all of the chopped staple polyester fiberfill they want is available at very cheap prices in Asia. Then the company gives it their own name."
