WHAT CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY

Short and sweet testimonial-

Here in Missouri for the past few days, the temp has hovered in near zero to low teens with below zero with wind-chill.

This isn’t one of those “there I was...” testimonials just a couple things that prove once again how Wiggy’s gear performs.

I have 3 dogs, big ones, who eat like horses and well, what goes in, must come out. Two or three times a week I’m out on “patrol” to pick up the “must come out” stuff in the yard. It was -5 wind-chill, I’m outside, latex gloves on for the dirty work, my Wiggy’s booties, and my Wiggy’s Wind Shirt, and blue jeans. It takes about a half hour to do this cross crossing through the yard looking for “deposits”. Hands are cold of course. Feet and upper body - Jerry, I wouldn’t even know it was cold outside; I’m core warm and feet dry and warm and I’m not exaggerating. The dang gear just works beyond what’s expected- you know I have a lot of your gear from my orders and it’s because everything performs above what I’d expect - never short of what I’d expect and that, Jerry, is pretty damned sweet! So much that I ordered another Wind Shirt and your Fossil Ridge Bibs to add to my growing Wiggy’s collection!

Last year I gave my cousin a pair of your pack boots. (The black ones that you sent as a promotion.) I forgot he had them. I received a text this afternoon from his wife: "Mike is wearing those Wiggy's boots to ice fish in, he said where these have been all my life!” I replied and then she said: "Well he said they are amazing!” It was -3F this morning. No need to reply.

Jim thanks for the note. Where were all of the people when these boots were available years ago? But not to worry all one has to do is buy the least expensive pack boots you can find. Through the trash felt inserts away and replace them with the tall SUNWALKERS and you will have a pack boot as good as the one I was selling. The reason, easy it’s the Lamilite insulation that the insert is made from.

An excellent video. I have not purchased a TNF product in years - it's junk, just like many other popular brand products. Wiggy's has always had an excellent reputation in the circle of people who know about his products. I just wish more people would know - spread the word for the man. Thank you Mr. Wigutow for educating people!

LVI I am very gratified to know from you and many other customers that they understand that the primary purpose of what I write is to make knowledge available to people interested in the subject of the products I manufacture. When customers acquire knowledge they do buy more intelligently.

So far this winter sales of some Wiggy’s products are exploding; fishnet underwear, Lamilite socks, Ducksback Lamilite balaclava, liner vest and liner jacket.

Sales of the Ducksback Urban Arctic Parka have also been selling well. There is not one down parka available that is even close to being its equal in comfort.

ON BEING RETIRED

I receive a number of calls each day and as many of you know I may very well be the person who answers the phone. People are surprised that the owner of the company answers. There is a very valid reason I own the company!

When I was a young man selling to the manufacturers who existed in the ski industry and then the outdoor industry I met all of the owners. As their companies grew they ultimately hired somebody to do their job. Almost every one of those brands is gone and a few were saved by large companies who thought the brand worthwhile to own.

I have over the years been approached by people and companies that never identified themselves to me other than to tell me they were in the outdoor business and want to discuss buying Wiggy’s. I have always asked what they knew about the sleeping bag business as far as the materials like insulation and manufacturing in general. I have never gotten an answer. So I recommend to them to invest their money elsewhere.

The end result is that I have yet to find someone who can sit in my chair and do my job. The reality is; if I were to sell Wiggy’s who ever bought it would be out of business in 12 months. Why (?) because they do not have any knowledge of what they would need to do nor could they hire someone other than me to run it, so why sell out.

The reality is I as a retired individual must have something to do to occupy my time that interests me, and that leaves Wiggy’s and all that goes with it. Aside from enjoying developing new products I enjoy the conversations with the people who call and I further enjoy presenting them with information that they can use to make their life better when they go into the woods. I think it is obvious the enjoyment I know when I receive testimonials praising the products I make. So you now know what I do with my retired time.

As for people calling please do not hesitate and if I do not happen to answer just ask for me!!! By the way I do have a successor, Marc Taylor owner of Wiggy’s Alaska.
