MORE REVIWS ABOUT THE DUCKSBACK GARMENTS
But first the latest video is now on the web site.
Jerry:
I've been using the Alaska Range Parka shell with the L-3 liner for more than a month now and I have to say that it's an astonishing piece of equipment. I'm 62 years old and have been hiking and backpacking since the early 1960s. I've tried just about every combination of insulation and shell material available over those decades, and I've never experienced anything like this parka. I run pretty hot once I get going on the trail, and I've come to accept that the inside of any rain shell is going to get real damp if I'm hiking uphill in it. "Pit zips" have always helped, and I was frankly very concerned when I realized that the Alaska Range Parka doesn't have them. But even without that extra ventilation, I stay as dry as a bone in this parka! The Duckback shell material is truly breathable, even though it sheds water just about as well as coated nylon. It is amazing stuff and I couldn't be more pleased with how it performs. Out here in the Pacific Northwest it's only been cold enough for the liner once in the last month, but it worked well and I have no doubt that it will keep me toasty in the worst weather Oregon has to offer next winter. I also have to say that the quality of the sewing is just top notch. It's just a wonderful piece of outdoor equipment. Thank you again for producing such outstanding products!
Best regards,

In the 40 plus years that Gore has sold Gore-Tex as well as every other company either selling their brand of Gore-Tex whether they are a materials supplier or a manufacture such as Columbia Sportswear with their brand of Gore-Tex I have never seen a letter such as I am now starting to receive from customers who have purchased DUCKSBACK garments. Bobby, Gert and all the rest of you phonies eat your hearts out.
Not a one of these people or companies has EVER bothered to actually take the time to verify for them whether or not the material they are promoting actually performs. That my friend’s is the reason so many of you feel taken by these companies when you discover that you have wasted your money on product that simply does not work as advertised.
This latest video exposing the Polartec product that they believe is an insulating medium may cause some who see a jacket style made with it that they like may very well not buy it because it will be wasted money.
As I stated in the latest video the videos purpose is educational. The more you know about a product and the components that are used in its manufacture the better able you are to make an informed decision whether or not to buy it.
The parka Michael has with the L-3 Lamilite liner has been purchased by a Special Forces (SF) unit to the tune of 300. What I have been told aside from the water repellency it is lighter than all other similar garments presently available to the SF units. It is also warmer because all of the other garments have fleece linings, hold water, restrict movement and are heavier than the L-3 liner. I fully expect the word to get around within the SF groups as well as law enforcement.
Just for the sake of good order I used the material I call Ducksback for the fall of 2011 I believe until I finally found the fabric in 2016, long time to test I would say. But I have it now and you too can get a garment made with it as well.
Thank you Michael.
PS I am still waiting for a company any company to take me up on my challenge to show me that their product works as advertised. Now I can add Polartec to that list.
