DURABILITY OF WIGGY’S SLEEP[ING BAGS
THE FLYING BAG TESTIMONIAL
Hi Wiggy
Say I bought a Hunter Ultima Thule bag. Wow what a bag, it is unbelievable. It flew out of the truck going to Idaho elk camp at 80mph, put only a small cut in it. I was freaking when I saw it fly out. Slept in it at elk camp 20deg it is awesome, first morning I told my friend climb in this bag once. He did and said unbelievable.
Hunting in WI 2 weeks ago with my boss 10degs at night, same thing I told my boss in the morning jump in this bag once.
He did and said it's like electric, it keeps getting warmer.
He wants to use it to sleep in, in his stand late bow season in a week its -1 tonight in WI.
This is the best bag in the world.
Thanks Wiggy
Dave

I could not be more pleased with your letter. I know how well the bag performs but that is great to know about its durability.

3.I've been a Wiggy's customer for over 30
years now and the original bag I bought in the 80's is still as good today as
day I bought it. Workmanship and quality is key to the success of your products
and it far exceeds any other bags.
I just bought my grandson 12 a new superlight to use on his scout outings.
I've spent many a night sleeping comfortably while my pals are always cold with
their high tech high cost bags.
Thank you for all your support and great service you've given me in past.
Love your products !!!!!!

Dan,
Thank you!
The reason that my bags are as durable as they are has three factors.
DRESSING FOR THE ARCTIC
I was watching some videos on the subject and was very surprised at what I saw with respect to Norway.
Dressing for the winter months in Norway and other regions of the world that are equally cold was an eye opener for me, what I did not see specifically in the Norway videos was the wearing of fishnet underwear. Keep in mind fishnet underwear was invented in Norway by a captain in the Norwegian military in 1932.
They show in the videos and I mean videos that people in Norway wear close knit wool long underwear. They claim that the wool will absorb moisture which we know but will also keep you warm in spite of the fact that it is wet. That is not true if it does not keep you warm in Colorado it will not keep you warm in any colder region of the world.
I do not accept any of the published information as truthful about base layers working like fishnets will regardless of material they are made from.
They also advise close knit garments which actually increases the problem of how to stay warm. They should read Gerry Cunningham’s booklet that advises lose fitting clothing so body movement will cause a bellows action and drive the moisture out of the garments through the neckline if it is open.
One fellow in the U.S. says to use the sun screen for an auto cut to the size of the insert in your boot and the metalized surface will reflect the heat from your feet back to you while you are wearing wool socks.
Everybody is becoming an expert in how to keep warm even though they have no background in the field of insulation or textiles for that matter. The educational material that exists is plentiful, and I mean information that existed prior to me working in the insulation part of the clothing industry. The problem as I see it is that these new experts only take the erroneous information that is regurgitated by companies that are only interested in selling an idea regardless if it works or not.
So all of the populations of the Scandinavian countries can be quite uncomfortable with wearing garments that do not work and avoid buying garments that do work. Fishnets are manufactured in Norway.
