Jerry,
I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with your standard ground pad
(28" x 72"). Given the thickness of the pad, I wouldn't think it
could insulate as well as it does, or be as comfortable as it is, but it does
both better and at half the bulk of the two closed cell foam pads that I've
always used for winter camping.
I've slept in tents and out in the open with just a tarp over my Wiggy's 0*
hooded Super Light and your pad laid directly on packed snow and frozen ground
on some cold winter nights and I've never noticed a hint of cold through the
pad.
I've been using a 0* Wiggy's Super Light for somewhere in the neighborhood of
25 years and it's kept me warm at its advertised temperature rating and below.
I don't generally camp in temps below 10* F anymore, but I've slept in temps
down to -10* F a few times and I've been warm in my bag. The quality and
craftsmanship of your bags is outstanding. They stand up to years of hard use
and they're very warm and comfortable.
After using it this past winter and spring here in upstate NY, I have to say
that I'm equally impressed with your ground pad. Like your sleeping bags,
they're built to last, they're comfortable and they work as advertised. Your
products are hands down the best value out there.
Thank you,
Bob Smith
Bob, much thanks for your story, it warms my heart.
You will find on the website the latest pricing for the Fire Retardant parkas, bibs, shirt jackets vest and hard hat liners. I have priced them to move as quickly as possible.
There is no telling how long they were left in the original boxes that we shipped them into Alaska so they are in pristine condition. The price that they were supposed to sell for was an indication of why they stayed in the boxes. So, now that they are back in Grand Junction, I am passing on the huge savings to anyone who wants FR winter outer wear.
I have purposely not shown the prices because I want those interested to be surprised.
