TWO TESTIMONIALS
I have been wearing the Wiggy's Lamilite lined Chukka Boots every day this week they arrived. Outside low temperatures in the mid 40's highs in mid-60's. They are comfortable and work as advertised. Wearing light merino wool socks for walks and hikes in the neighborhood, transitioning indoors to outdoors my feet have been comfortably warm, never too warm and never cold. Wore them one day with the Lamilite socks, feet were toasty warm and dry all day, even after a 30 minute hike in the neighborhood. So today, my Wiggy's Chukka Boots held a final formation for an Army career's worth of worthless Gore-Tex and Thinsulate lined boots that ensured my feet were cold in the winter and overheated in warm temperatures. You can see one pair of my Army issued mountain boots for Afghanistan was never worn once. These boots will be donated to charity. Hopefully they will only be used in the mild urban jungles of California.

I have worn Schnees and Kenetrek pack boots for years now predator calling, elk hunting, and riding/packing my mules in the winter months. My feet have always been warm in the truck, walking, and loading my mules to get ready for a ride in/out of camp. Whenever I was stationary I always ended up with cold feet no matter what type or how many pairs of socks I wore. This, of course, was with their felt insoles that came with their boots.
I learned of Wiggy's products from my brother that had used his sleeping bags camping in the backcountry with bush pilot buddy from Alaska. My brothers claims sounded too good to be true to say the least. After a phone call to Wiggy, I had a new Wiggy's sleeping bag on the way to try for myself. I found out quickly that my brother's claims were true and then some. Best sleeping bag I have ever been around period.
Back to the cold feet....
Recently, I helped a buddy pack out his elk camp in the back country with my mules. I had recently replaced the felt insoles in my Schnees pack boots with Jerry's Sunwalker 2 replacement insoles and Lamilite socks. My buddy was wearing his Schnees with their standard felt insoles. The temperature was in the teens to low twenty's most of the day and this was the first time my feet were warm on the ride to and from camp. I made it a point to ask my buddy if he was staying warm on the ride out and he said he was doing alright except for his feet being cold.
I would strongly recommend any of Wiggy's sleeping bags as well as the Sunwalker 2 insoles teamed up with the Lamilite socks. I own two different Wiggy's sleeping bags and they are absolutely class 1 in every way. I will never wear a pair of beets with felt liners ever again. I would recommend all of Wiggy's products, but I haven't tried them all out yet. I am sure they wouldn't disappoint.
Thanks for making a high quality product in the United States. You have a customer for life.

I tried to sell my Lamilite inserts to each company that sells boots with the felt inserts only to be told no thank you. The end result is the fact that I am selling the Sunwalker inserts to men who already own boots by these companies anyway. The mind set of these manufacturers is so set against learning it is remarkable. They just don’t get it; Lamilite/Climashield just works to insulate to keep your feet warm whereas Gore-Tex combined with Thinsulate and felt inserts will cause you to have cold feet. The same holds true for any felt insert that is put in any boot; leather or pack boot.
I find it hard to believe that some people over the years have not complained to these companies. I do not find it hard to believe that the whole of the boot industry has turned a deaf ear to customer complaints because they who work in the boot industry with the greatest policy making for each company it appears to me have no interest in changing what they use as insulation in their boots.
I have a debt of gratitude to them as I do to the companies that used to make sleeping bags in the USA for not listening or learning from me as I discovered what is the best insulation to use for sleeping bags and clothing I might add as well as how best to use the insulation. It has taken Wiggy’s 30 years to become the largest producer of quality sleeping bags in the world. Now that was not very hard to accomplish since there are no other companies that make quality sleeping bags that work as they advertise. So a big THANK YOU to all of the companies that proceeded Wiggy’slike the North Face, Sierra Designs and several other companies some that are no longer in existence in the sleeping bag business. All of them basically refused to take my advice as to the best way to use the best insulation in the world continuous filament fiber, originally known as Polar Guard and now Climashield (which happens to be better than Polar Guard).
My sale of boots is very strong and growing. Will I become the biggest in the industry any time soon, doubtful but I am growing in that area; why (?) because the boots do what I claim. My claims are based upon first of all my very own use during the winter months here in the Rockies and then the multitudes of customers who have written to me letting me know the same. All one has to do is scan the multitude of e mails I have received such as the two at the outset of this article in my testimonial section.
What is unfortunate is that these boot companies have the same poor attitude towards gaining knowledge so they too if they were to use Lamilite/Climashield would be making a better boot that actually works for the customer. Common sense seems to me to elude them. By the way I should add the same goes for those companies that make insulated outerwear and hand wear.
