I wasn’t really in the market for a new bag but some folks on a forum I frequent were raving about how good Wiggy’s bags were. I decided to check it out and purchased a Super Light bag for myself. I was a little skeptical, but the quality of the bag is amazing. Everything feels high quality and well put together, especially the zippers. This bag seems built to last. I was so impressed, I went ahead and ordered 2 additional bags for my wife and son and will be ordering ground pads for all three of us as well. Thanks, Wiggys

Occasionally a customer says they read some good comments about Wiggy bags on a forum. Mike’s email received today is the most expressive to date. Thank you, Mike, for telling me where you found out about Wiggy’s and becoming a customer and adding your observed comments about the Wiggy products.

I now want to thank all the people who take the time to say the good things about the Wiggy products they have purchased and use.

In the early 1990’s I stopped advertising in the magazines that serve the outdoor marketplace. I found it expensive and not productive. I just relied on word-of-mouth advertising, and it has paid off beyond my dreams. So, to all those who have been so kind to promote Wiggy’s a very big THANK YOU!!!

I have over the past several years received emails from companies in China wanting to make my sleeping bags or sell me theirs. In their emails they often list the brands in the US that they work with. Obviously, I delete these emails, as I will not do anything with them, and I find out which US companies buy from them.

For the past few months, the frequency of emails soliciting me has increased dramatically. They come daily from one or two companies. I do not read Chinese, so I don’t know if I am getting unsolicited by the same few companies or if the number of companies is far greater than the few. What this means to me is that their regular customers have reduced their purchases. I hope that is the case because their customers are not selling what they have already purchased.

The economy is suffering worldwide I believe even in China.

As I have reported I have had the good fortune to be able to purchase the quality of fabric I have used since inception from domestic mills at very favorable prices, so I am able to keep my prices where they are for some time to come.

When I research what of the no sleep sleeping bags that are being sold in retail outlets such as REI and compare prices for bags in the same temperature range as Wiggy bags Wiggy’s bags are generally less costly. Of course, those bags become even more costly for people who buy them when they find out when they go camping, they fail to keep them warm. I consider that “adding insult to injury”.

I now know based on the commentary I receive from many of the Wiggy customers that the Wiggy sleeping bags have a life cycle of many years [another reason to buy a Wiggy’s bag]. also, the no sleep sleeping bags are not launderable where as a Wiggy bag can be laundered an incredible number of times and laundering one is good for it.

In the event you haven’t noticed I really like writing about my sleeping bags!!!
