getting rid of moisture and a gift for the other companies who make or want to make insulated products

THE IMPORTANCE OF ALLOWING MOISTURE TO LEAVE YOUR SKIN SURFACE AND NOT RETURN TO IT!!!

Hello,

I finally got to use the jacket liner and liner socks for more than just idle hunting. Today I wore them on a 12 mile off road fat tire bike ride. The snow was 4-6 inches of fresh power and I had to blaze my own trail which adds considerable aerobic activity to the whole ride and the temperature was 16 degrees. I was amazed that for all of the sweating and overheating that I was doing I remained dry and warm underneath the liners and experienced the best body venting I've ever enjoyed.

When I was done my liners were both soaked but I remained dry and warm underneath them. And while they were soaked they did not seem any heavier in weight. I have ordered another jacket liner and I can't wait to get it. I'm sure that I will also make purchases in the future. I believe that after what I experienced today that your products not only work but could probably save someone’s life from hypothermia or just plain freezing to death. Thanks again for your honesty and dedication to making a great product that over delivers and is under promised!

Thanks,

Ken

Whatever Ken was wearing under the liners were very vapor permeable garments that did not inhibit the flow of vapor coming out of his pores. When this vapor reached the surface of the liners which were exposed to the 16 degree ambient temperature he was experiencing it naturally condensed.I expect if he had weighed the liners prior to the exercise and those after there would have been a weight gain, but it would not have been so significant for him to note a difference as he says. Had Ken been wearing the Barron Grounds parka I fully expect the moisture as a vapor would have gone through the L-6 Lamilite used in this garment and when it reached the exterior it would at this point surface and probably would frost just as my sweat frosted on the outside of my Fossil Ridge parka with the L-12 Lamilite that I was wearing when I was lost.

People wearing the performance base layer garments will NEVER experience what Ken experienced because they are not very vapor permeable. In this situation the cold temperature will descend via conduction from the outside layer surface through the garments being worn to the moisture which is no longer vapor causing the person to get a chill!!!

As I receive testimonials such as the one from Ken it always shows one constant; continuous filament fiberfill, also known as Lamilite and Climashield is used in these garments. This being the cases it only seems natural or plausible to understand that the results people are discovering when using Wiggy’s products, it this component is the catalyst and that is the reason they perform as well as they do. Everything including us will work better when we are warm and the materials surrounding our body are warm. Lamilite happens to do that significantly better than any and all other materials referenced as insulation. Actually I do not believe there is any other insulation made available for clothing and sleeping bags other than Lamilite.

My proof of Lamilite’ s ability to function as successfully as it does as an insulating medium is the extensive number of testimonials that I have received for the past 30 years from people who have used my products that are insulated with Lamilite. Every now and then someone will ask if this or that product has Lamilite insulation in it. I ask what makes them think I would use anything else.

Please note that if Lamilite is not used in a Wiggy’s product, that is because the product is not an insulated product such as the fishnet underwear.

IF the rest of the companies that market insulated as they think of them; products are interested in forgoing testing all they have to do is read about the Wiggy’s products and the successes of them. They would not have any reason to do any testing, all they would have to do is call me so I could get the chance to sell them Lamilite and as such share with them manufacturing methods as well as the proper weights of Lamilite for their desired products.

I often read want ads that are published in the SBG online web site for designers with knowledge of making outerwear or sleeping bags. I know that there are no people out there with adequate knowledge specifically about insulation that are competent, but someone will be hired. But if one of those interested in applying for such a position came to me first I could set them on the right and proper path. But would the company doing the hiring want a Wiggy’s trained person, probably not. It would be there loss.
