LUXURIOUS GRAONDPADS
Product Testimonials
When the long narrow first
went on a sale a year or two back I decided to take advantage of the steep
discount and try it out. Wow, I'm glad I did! In conjunction with my
ultra-light cot it's honestly very close to being as comfortable as my bed at
home! Sure, it's a bit bulky and heavy but I've never had such a great night's
sleep in the woods as I did the first time I tried this Wiggy's pad. The wider
might be nice but as a bonus the narrow fits my compact cot very well.
It should go without saying but this pad combined with a Wiggy's bag is about
as good as it gets. Thanks!

Used the pad on a cot with my Hunter Ultima Thule. Used the straps to hold the pad at one end of my cot. Pad stayed in place and no issues with sub-freezing temps. Hunting buddy was on foam pads and an old school cotton sleeping bag. He had moisture under his bag. No moisture issues with the Wiggys gear. Pad is bulky but worth the good nights sleeps. Will use in my hammock next.

Over 20 years ago when I started manufacturing my ground pads I still exhibited at the outdoor retailer trade show. One day during the show a representative of thermarest company came by my exhibit and told me they had purchased a couple and thought they were okay pads. I told him if they wanted to buy my densified polyester fiber and use it as they do foam they would cause me to leave the pad business because they were my customer and they would be making a better product. Obviously the offer was not accepted.
My pad business has seen an enormous growth over the years because my pads are far superior to the thermarest pads. My pads have webbing that ties easily to the open ends of any cot, so they do not move around. I know how good they are because I would use them on a cot every 3rd season (opens the first Saturday of November) at base camp which was 12000 feet. I always slept and was comfortable even at 30 below. You will not do that with any thermarest pad as I can tell you because a number of men coming to base camp had them and were not at all comfortable. Actually they did have poor night’s sleep if they did sleep.
The thermarest pads are copied by companies and they are made in Asia just like the thermarest so they too develop holes quite easily. I know thermarest gives a patch kit with their pads, do the others? The ground pad I make uses a 600 denier shell material which if you did puncture it would not make the slightest difference to its functioning ability.
By the way even when it comes to ground pads water is not an issue with a Wiggy ground pad, but like all Wiggy products water is simply not an issue.
