This has been my go to sleep system for winter hanging now for 3 years.I've done many nights below zero F and a few below -20F with an extra layer and the Sunwalkers on my feet for extra warmth.I tarp clip a small length of shock cord to the hood and foot ends of the bag and stretch them to the hammock ends to keep the bag centered and snug around the hammock. The nice thing is I set it up before going out then stuff the whole rig with hammock and bag together in the ruck.Makes setup very fast (which is important when you need to get warm quickly).Even though I often tuck my head in the bag all night moisture has never been an issue.Sometimes there's a small spot of frost in the morning where I've been breathing but it's on the shell only and sublimated away in a half hour or so.It's my favorite piece of winter gear and gives me lots of confidence to handle things.Adding guaranteed warmth and dryness to the Superior comfort you experience in a hammock over sleeping on the ground, you have your best odds ever of getting restorative sleep in the wilderness. In the meantime, keep making great products.

Receiving letters (e mails) like this never get old.
Since hammock camping is growing as I am finding out from receiving letters as seen above and many phone calls that I have received I decided to make a sleeping bag that will actually coordinate with a hammock.
The basic problem that has to be overcome with having a sleeping bag that fits around the hammock is the hood section. The foot end of the Freedom Shelter sleeping bag closes fine around the foot end of the hammock. My production manager Kok and I are experimenting with some modifications concerning the hood closing around the head without compromising the insulation. I expect that we will have a proper hood section in the next week or so. When it is done to our satisfaction I will post photos on the web site.
I do not expect the pricing to be much different that the current pricing for the Freedom Shelter bags.
I cannot tell you how many items that I manufacture today or modifications that I have made over the years as a result of a request to make a product such as the waders or add on changes to existing products such as the Single Person Bivy Shelter.
The great products made by Wiggy’s to a great extent were from customer suggestions. The same will hold true once we get the Hammock Sleeping Bag made.
