MORE COMMENT ABOUT THE GROUND PAD
Having received the following e mails is a good way to start the New Year!
Your Ultimate Thule bag has been the
most utilized sleeping bag in my rough camping experiences in primitive camping
adventures. I have one of the warmer temperature bags as well, but find the
Ultimate the best ready for unpredictable weather especially in cold moist
conditions.
Having previously carried 100% wool blankets for sleeping warmth they became a
burden if they needed to be dried out and the sun wasn't shining. Granted they
were issued during my previous military service and we had nothing else to
utilize.
However, through the years of outdoor adventures where sound warm sleep became
necessary I am grateful to having purchased both bags. At the end of a long day
braving the elements with a windswept fire of useless heat but a nice glow it
was great comfort knowing that once I prepared myself for the cot it was only a
matter of less than 2 minutes inside the Ultimate Thule and I was comfy warm
and fast asleep. In fact, my camp mates would toss, turn and moan that their
blankets were falling off and they were miserable in trying to sleep in those
other manufactured sleeping bags.
Yes, I went through a short time of believing the hype of other name brands
enhancing their ability to provide warm dry sleep and they failed miserably
Another situation was a pad under the bag to eliminate ground cold from
creeping up into the bag. Forget the air mattresses or therma- rest or foam
pads for comfort they were once again a nightmare, either absorbing moisture or
no protection for cold beneath them. I purchased your ground pad early this fall
and couldn't rave enough about it in preventing moisture beneath on the cot
material or comfort when lying on it with the Thule bag.
I'm now awaiting the Lamilite poncho which would surely provide better comfort
on damp night hikes and quick cover running to the hooter.
Happy New Year and the best to you and your staff.

I was very happy to read that he is now using my ground pad and his opinion of the rest that are out there as his opinion of the other brands of “no sleep sleeping bags”.
The nest two testimonials received today have a common theme.
Not merely survival, but comfort!
This morning I spent about an hour walking
outside here in Northern New Mexico. As the sun rose the temperature hovered
around 0°F. I was totally comfortable. My gear was 100% Wiggy's but for
skivvies and an old pair of Key Logger's jeans. But the package was very light!
It consisted of mesh underwear (upper and lower), mesh base layer top, Lamilite
socks and lined chukka boots, a jacket liner, a Ducksback balaclava, and a
"boomerang" hand warmer. That's it! Yes, it was still air and dry,
but I've never felt so warm at that temp with so little gear. Perfect.
Wiggy's begins with the unalterable fact that the human body is a "water
engine." Any technology or philosophy of outdoor gear which ignores this
fact or works against it is doomed to failure. It's my regret that I didn't
hook up with Wiggy's until I was near 70 years old but I have now and I'm not
looking back. I've been going into the outdoors my whole life. I've done it for
enjoyment but often it's been reduced to just surviving. That includes military
experience under arctic conditions with sleeping bags constructed of cotton
canvas and lumpy, wet duck's down. Now when I go out I'm dry and warm and don’t
looks like the Michelin Man in camos. I come back having had a good time and
ready for more. Some of the less costly Wiggy's items are real "home
runs" like the mesh underwear, Lamilite socks and jacket liners. Try them!
You'll wear the stuff everywhere and enjoy it. Wiggy is a bit cantankerous at
times, but sometimes the truth has to be aggressive. This is especially true
when most of the outdoor industry is filled with robbers, rapists and
fashionistas who've never sleep a night on the ground.
I encourage anyone to try a few of the smaller items. Test them out. I think
you'll find yourself coming back for the best sleeping bag you will ever own. I
have several and they are warm, tough and much laundered but look new. Then you
can bear witness yourself. When your friends ask, you can tell them. "Buy
Wiggy's; it works!"

Really well made, stand out quality right away
Wow
I popped my bag and its amazing
true not many nice bags out there this nice
and local stores around here are not doing it.
I can see this is really warm at a price point that’s unbeatable.
Get the purple one for a lady and they will love this.
And the price is awesome as well.
Super warm.
Now I can give away the rest of my stuff I think was warm
Wiggy’s is going to be fun to get coverage for each season now.
Wish I came across this sooner.
Thanks for doing the work and making a great cold weather bag!– Bv
Wiggy…...RE your comments on sleeping bags...……..Many years ago when canoeing through Northern Ontario I had a "down" sleeping bag ( before I heard the magic word "WIGGY").that did its best to kill me...….The weather was pretty bad and my canoe seemed to be getting lower in the water and the lake was getting rough so I beached my boat, when I went to unload I found the reason for my boat problem....Before loading I double bagged my sleeping bag in plastic bags but what I didn't notice was that I had a hole in one so during my trip my "down" bag had been slowly absorbing water and getting heavier and dragging my boat down...….needless to say I spent a night in a wet lousy bag that I got rid of when our trip was finished.
Shortly after I came across an ad for "Wiggy bags”, purchased one and that was the best buy I ever made....I have slept in a "Wiggy bag" that was exposed to the rain and snow and never felt warmer, get up in the morning, give the bag a shake to get rid of surface moisture and into a stuff bag......also bought my son a bag...…

The common theme is that each of these people gave me the opportunity to sell them my bag after they read about them and not from word of mouth advertising, and now they are my best salesman. The reality is that EVERY brand name that exists today and many more who are no longer in existence had the opportunity to purchase Lamilite from me and if they did I would never have started making sleeping bags. Reading comments like this are not taken lightly by me. In retrospect I probably would not have heard these wonderful comments that have educated me in the performance of my bags. I do suspect that the other companies if they did buy Lamilite would never have tried to learn that they were using the best insulating material ever created by man, not grown on a bird. Chances are they would have tried to destroy it. So I give a great big THANK YOU to every last company that sells sleeping bags for turning me down.
Many a customer will write to me asking if I will make a particular product that is insulated but I politely refuse not because I do not want to make the item (many are good ideas) but because I do not have the capacity to make them. Sometimes my production manager cringes if I ask him to make a new product because he has a full plate making what already exists in the product line. Sometimes I am asked to make a tent or backpack again I refuse not because I don’t want to make it, but because I have no background in either product. Just because I have sewing factory does not mean I am qualitied to make these products other than copying what someone else has made. That I will not do.
Besides all of the products that I make or may make in the future will be made with Lamilite since by virtue of default no other company is interested in using it. Of course it would be nice if one boot manufacturer chose to use Lamilite I suspect they would sell more boots than they ever imagined who knows my pipe dream may come true.
Lamilite/Climashield (I cannot leave out the reference of Climashield as the main component of Lamilite) is an insulating medium without comparison. What other insulating medium functions the same wet or dry, none. This information I would never have learned had I not become the product manufacturer. What other insulating medium can go through the vacuum packing process and come back unscathed, none. How would I have learned this if I hadn’t become the manufacturer working with the Air Force, I wouldn’t since the other companies that made sleeping bags never cared to work with the military so learning of the fibers resilience would still be unknown.
The reality or my reality is that the product trade named Lamilite truly makes 100 percent of all other materials offered as a form of insulation obsolete.
I stopped by my office this morning to print the orders that have been received since 4 PM Friday till 11AM today Monday January 1, 2019 and it was 80 so as far as I am concerned 2019 is starting as good as can be. I do expect by Wednesday morning when I arrive at the office orders will have surpassed 100.
Wishing one and all to have a Happy NewYear in 2019!!!
