400 EVACUATION BAG CASULATY INSULATION
Yes, the Canadian government has put out a solicitation for 200 of the Wiggy hypothermia bags with our Canadian NSN and a second 200 of a different hypo bag with a different Canadian NSN. The description of my hypo bag is accurate and is a product they have purchased from me. The second hypo bag is different and I wonder if they have ever used one, probably not because it will cost a fortune to make with no advantage.
I believe they have put out this solicitation based on what I believe to be the fact that they had casualties that had to be medevac’d out of the field.
I have no qualms about being one of the suppliers to the US company that asked for pricing. However, the Canadian government would save many thousands of dollars if they ordered the Wiggy’s Antarctic sleeping bag. WHY? let us see.
If someone happens to be cold all they would need to do is get into their Antarctic bag and they WOULD warm up. They would learn that all of the moisture in their clothing would dry, the cause of being cold, and dry clothing means a warm body. Of course, being warm shortly after getting in their Antarctic bag. they would not have to be medevac’d out of the area saving the cost of bringing in choppers. I believe you get the idea and certainly if you were in the military you know about it.
I have done a quick calculation and I suspect the cost for the 400 units would exceed $250,000.00.
For that amount of money, they could get 1000 Wiggy Antarctic bags.
This is an example of how the government employees react to a problem. They never look at the cause of the problem which we know is the sleeping bag, therefore, let us see if there is a sleeping bag that will actually perform in our conditions? Well, there is but they refuse to acknowledge that fact. The WIGGY’S ANTARCTIC BAG.
Just today I received request of pricing from one of the Canadian Native villages for the Antarctic bag. I believe the Natives are smarter.
I wonder if there is any hope for the government
