IMMEDIATE WARMTH
This past weekend I did something I haven’t done before, and that is to view a few videos people have made about using their Wiggy’s bags.
They generally spoke highly about their bags referring to quality of sewing the size of the zippers and referring to the Lamilite insulation. Here they really do not have real knowledge but that is okay because they are trying and what they say is good.
They all note how the bag really lofts up when you take it out of the compression stuff sack and comment the bag can be stored compressed without hurting the Lamilite and finally one man referenced that the bags can be washed which we say [he said that] the washing causes the Lamilite to fluff up.
Having said that they all commented once they got in their bag how quickly they felt warm. One man said he never experienced that in any other bag he had.
Very often someone will call to order a sleeping bag because of the good comments he and she has heard on the internet, I am happy to know that.
I did notice in all cases that I saw that the individuals were wearing some clothing when they got in their bag. In any other so-called sleeping bag doing the same thing is a guarantee that they will get cold. Their clothing will hold the moisture it has absorbed which will absorb their heat, etc.
In the Wiggy bag the trapped heat drives out the moisture so you stay warm, dry and sleep.
US MILITARY and ALASKA
This morning, I received an order for the Antarctic Boat foot FTRSS [the over bag] from a soldier in Alaska who told me 2 years ago he was deployed in January on a training exercise above the arctic circle where he experienced temperatures of -60 degrees. He was cold every night in his issue bag.
His unit commander told him about Wiggy’s. He will not freeze again this year when he goes back. I assured him that he would not be cold again.
I like to think that there will be more buyers when he gets his bag system, and his unit members see it. I expect he will have ample time to use it in December because it does get cold in the Anchorage area where JBER the Army/Airforce base is.
Imagine if all of his army buddies decide to buy Wiggy’s and turn in the issue bags.
