keeping feet warm

KEEPING YOUR FEET WARM

Jerry,
I was going thru my equipment getting ready for bow season (whitetail deer in Texas) when it came to footwear. It can be hot down here in south Texas and my usual hunting boots are old G.I. jungle boots. Well, not much sole left on them so I started looking thru my stash.

I found an old pair of Irish Setter leather boots, no lining, no insulation, no goretex, just low-tech leather boots. I mink oiled them to soften them up, put in orange superfeet insoles and put them on with your OUTSTANDING 13-inch Lamilite Socks.

I have been wearing them ever since I put them on!!! It has been between 95-104 and my feet are Comfortable, not hot, not sweaty at all. When I take them off at night the boots are soaked with sweat, but my feet are Dry!!

I have worn your Lamilite Socks with your Sunwalker’s at -40 below zero, so I know they work in the cold, but the heat too?? I do not understand your magic but keep it up!!!

Thank you for all your excellent Made in USA equipment!!! Keep up the Great work!!!

When I started selling Lamilite/Climashield (L/C) insulated boots during the winter months I would wear them with my wool socks, Lamilite socks did not yet exist, and during the summer months I would wear them during the summer months with out socks. I discovered as Wayne has that in the 100-degree days plus or minus my feet stayed comfortable and dry.

Now that these L/C insulated boots are not available and the L/C socks are you can wear them in any boot that is made with leather and not lined with goretex or any bogus material like goretex and in warm weather you will experience warm dry feet. Of course, when the temperature drops below +20 degrees you will need the over boots or if -30 degrees or lower then you will need the muk luks.

The magic is explained in the prior article; “heating yourself and drying”. If this were magic, I would be able to have a lot more tricks and qualify for a stage presence in Las Vegas.

Wayne thank you for commentary and observation.

Hi Jerry,

Last weekend I ended up in the E.R. with an internal infection. I was sent home with a bottle of antibiotics which worked great. What I wanted to tell you was that during the first couple of days I came down with cold chills where my feet and toes became extremely cold and would not warm up.

After fighting this for an hour or so in bed I decided to get up and put on some socks. As I reached for the sock drawer, I caught a glimpse of my Wiggy's Booties there on the shelf. At that point I realized, "Duhh... Why put on cotton socks when I have the best Booties on the planet?!"

So, on went the Wiggy's Booties and my feet and toes began to warm within minutes. At that point I fell fast asleep waking up hours later to warm, dry toes. Fantastic!

This made me think about Wiggy's products for people with diabetes, old age, and poor circulation in general. I hope everyone reading this remembers to use your clothing, bags, and Booties for medical purposes too.

Thank you for your wonderful products.

Mark has previously contributed his experiences with several other of the Wiggy’s products he owns, so Mark thank you for this one too.

Over the years that I have been publishing articles I have mentioned that diabetics and older people whose circulation is slowing should also wear the booties.

Once again, the reason that people using Wiggy’s products are learning about the performance ability of those products are all because of the L/C insulation. It is not because of the lining and shell materials. You can use these same materials covering the same type of products made with other forms of what is called insulation and not have the same result. I use the word “result” in the singular because the material used by Wiggy’s for insulation is L/C and it is always the common denominator. It is irrelevant what the product is, sleeping bag, parka, hand wear, etc. when these products are made by Wiggy’s with L/C they work, and of course, that is the only form of insulation Wiggy’s uses, so I always refer to L/C in the singular. And of course, the similar products made with the other forms of what is called insulation do not work. So, in my opinion L/C is the only in the world for sleeping bags, and all forms of cold weather clothing.

Saturday Kok, Pum and I had our weekly lunch where Kok and I review how things are going at Wiggy’s, [and Pum cooks of course], and I also share with Kok how I have been running the business given my age if anything were to happen to me if I am not capable of doing my job he obviously needs to know that information.

Today he read the two testimonials we received and my comments about them plus the start of this article. I told him the information that I have received over the years of Wiggy’s products and the performance of the products we make I/we could never have experienced since I am in the office and he is running the production. But he did comment “it is better that our customers say good things about our products”. Kok’s observation was a surprise since he has never been involved in promotion of our products. He may be at some point in the future, distant we hope since my family history on longevity is into the 90s, to those who think they can compete with Wiggy’s think again. I amor we are seeing orders at this time close to what we see for Christmas.

We like to think many of our sales today are as a direct result of the knowledge we have gained, and I have been able to pass on via my articles to the consumer market. We are also very appreciative for all who have spoken so highly about the Wiggy’s products they have and use. For that we are eternally grateful.

One last item, I will be posting shortly the sizes of boots we have left. They will be priced at $100.00 per pair when bought with a sleeping bag of any price.
