Hi Jerry
Boots arrived this morning - size is spot on.
Must have been 105-110 degrees today and I wore the boots with thick wool socks and my feet didn't feel hot or sweaty, quite comfortable really, Very impressed.
Thanks Mate
Kevin Kevin is a longtime customer and is currently living in Laos which explains the temperature this time of year.
What he has experienced I have experienced for 15 years since the first boots made for me by Herman Survivors and subsequently when I used the Wellco and then Belleville boots. Over the years that I sold the other brands I also received communications from customers having the same experience. All were made without any film such as Goretex or Thinsulate, but were insulated with Lamilite. I am also wearing the new boots since December when it was cold to today even as I write this and the temperature is in the 60’s here in Grand Junction. I am wearing wool socks as well now versus the Lamilite socks which I wore when it was cold. The result is that I have dry feet at the end of the day when I take the boots off.
There is a performance reality demonstrated here; as we know Lamilite insulation is oblivious to moisture regardless of its state vapor, liquid or frozen. If Lamilite gets wet it is not absorbed which is what happens with every other form of insulation used in clothing, foot wear or sleeping bags. Over the past 30 years Lamilite has shown that moisture from the human body moves through the above noted articles quite easily so it does not have a detrimental effect on you. This cannot be said of any other insulating medium that manufacturers of the above mentioned products sell.
Keeping your feet healthy is paramount to good health of the rest of your body. Lamilite insulated boots can be worn over a 12 month period regardless of the temperature or weather conditions such as rain or snow or as Kevin says 105/110 degree temperatures.
Every Lamilite insulated product regardless if I make it or if I sell the Lamilite to another company will outperform all of the other products available to manufactures from companies that claim to have an insulating medium.
If you are looking at buying the best boot currently available it is the Wiggy's Lamilite insulated boots. The next model I am working on is a shorter version hiking boot.
Also, many people have called and asked if this product or that product produced by Wiggy’s has Lamilite as its insulation: the answer is an unequivocal YES.
