I have put the video Wiggy’s Insulation, actually one of three on the home page where I show the Lamilite or the continuous filament fiber.

If you want an education as to why it is the very best insulation in existence the video is a good start.

Then above the video on the home page you will see a in the red rectangular box the title “Why Continuous Filament Fiberfill?” It is an in depth scientific explanation [ I made every effort to make this scientific paper easily understood] of why continuous filament fiberfill has no peer today or will ever.

I had a patent that was in effect for 20 years. I never needed it. Once it expired not one company in the outdoor industry tried to copy me. if I didn’t have patent from the beginning they still wouldn’t have tried. I would have saved about $6000.00 that I paid an attorney plus the maintenance fees to the government until it expired.

My guess as to why I was not copied is that they just did not understand what and why I did what it have been doing for 38 years, rest assured all of them have bought my bags and probably have taken them apart. Probably have seen my videos as well.

Of course, today a big impediment is the cost of shipping the Climashield to China. They are wanting the cheapest price they can get, that is why they chose to go with chopped staple polyester fiberfill. Every brand of no sleep sleeping bag you find on moosejaws website or rei’s website uses the chopped staple fiberfill. Every one of the bags is guaranteed to lose what ever loft they have and start to break apart via lumping all over. And of course, you can speed up the process by laundering the bag which they don’t want you to do.

All of this non-functioning to keep you warm and then disposable quality product from what I can see is price equal or mostly more expensive than Wiggy’s when I examined the Moosejaw website. They are like a drug store carrying every item available.

Thirty five years ago I stated that buying any other brand of what is referred to as a sleeping you are wasting your money. The statement is more relevant today for 35 years ago at least north face was making polar guard and then Climashield bags, so their bags were okay. They use chopped staple fiber today.
