WIGGY’S BAG SAVE ANOTHER LIFE

“(W)hen you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you. . . you may know that your society is doomed”. Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged

When you read the following testimonial keep in mind there is no other sleeping bag on the planet that will perform in this manner. The key to the success of Wiggy’s bags performing this way is quite simple; silicone treated continuous filament fiber trade named Climashield which when put through my laminating process I now call itLamilite. The way I use it which eliminates completely quilt stitching so you have a uniform loft from head to toes and side to side. And of course the amount of Lamilite used for each bag maximizing the weight necessary to keep one warm in a variety of temperatures. Due to the lack of quilt stitching the fibers maintain their loft and even though wet they spring back to loft so your body heat never leaves the bag cavity where your body is located while in the bag.

Hi, Please forward this to Mark here in Anchorage. I purchased and use freq. a mountain hunting bag from Mark's shop. I have used the shit out of this sleeping bag, mtn. goat and sheep hunting. This year goat hunting Kodiak Island, my bag got soaking wet. For two nights in a row I wrung out the bag and climbed in. That sleeping bag kept me alive!
Great product!
Thanks Mark

Brett Mills

For the past 25 years of the 30 years Wiggy’s has been producing sleeping bags I have received testimonials praising one of the attributes of the Lamilite insulation more than any of its other attributes and that is its ability to function as an effective insulation even if it gets wet.

The same statement cannot be said about any other material used for insulation purposes on the planet!!!

Down with or without the addition of being treated with a durable water repellent (durable this chemical coating is not durable) coating. Every other synthetic fiberfill material that is used in the bulk of sleeping bag or jacket products is exclusively chopped staple fiber and these fibers trap the moisture. Now if you were to wring out the water in one of these products you would effectively crush the fiberfill and now it will not have any more insulating capability than down.

Because Lamilite does respond to relofting as it dries the trapped heat emitted from your body which we have seen drives the moisture out so the fiber does dry. As it dries the fiber it will increase in loft to further aid the heat retention factor.

I have published all of the survival situations that I have been presented with as a direct result of the Lamilite insulation. I too am a survivor as a result of how well my own products performed for me. It was a wonderful learning experience.

With reference to the Ben Saunders Antarctic expedition I received an interesting response from a customer believing as I do he is not really thinking clearly about what he is attempting to accomplish. I have copied and reprinted his e mail to me to follow:

Dear Jerry,

You'll probably get a lot of feedback on this commentary.

I find it interesting that I was reading chapter 10 in Calvin Rutstrum's book; Paradise Below Zero, when you sent this out.

He mentions that expeditions have perished using the wrong equipment in the arctic and not having enough fuel

To dry out their sleeping bags and clothing. He said they died in their sleeping bags. Perspiration is the big issue.

You would think that anyone going on an expedition would study previous ones, and learn from them.

You are correct in assuming he will not succeed. There is no fuel in Antarctica. He'll need to carry fuel for melting snow for drinking, and heat for warmth and drying out equipment.

Good call on this one, although an easy one when people are stupid.

I hope he keeps his locator beacons batteries warm. He'll need them.

Sincerely,

Van Ferrell

I am not familiar with Calvin Rutstrum or his book; I’ll have to get a copy.

Ben Saunders writes daily about his progress and it is interesting to learn that in the first few days he has already had snow and white out conditions as well as nasty weather. If this is what he is to expect I find it very difficult to believe he can make it. He also admitted to getting a chill. Could it be because he is trapping his sweat against his skin, of course.

Another aspect of his activity has to do with his apparent lack of learning from his personal past experience or the experiences of others who have gone before him on the same or similar expeditions. We do live in an age when there are volumes of information from which to draw from. I love the internet for the amount of information that is available on literally any subject you can think of. Maybe Ben Saunders is more concerned with what he can get out of sponsors that he thinks very little of himself and his wellbeing.

Had he come to me, I would not have given him anything other than the opportunity to learn why what I make are the best products to use for what he is doing. Would it guarantee his success, who knows but it would guarantee that he would be better prepared for what he is doing and give him the best chance of success. Of course he or someone would have to pay for all of the products.

There is one thing I am very sure of and that is no one will buy what he is using as a result of his use. Maybe he should be introduced to Brett Mills or 50,000 more owners of Wiggy’s bags and clothing.
