ANOTHER USE FOR LAMILITE SOCKS

Wiggy,

My son and I took your products into Quetico, the Canadian wilderness park during the last 2 weeks of September.

During travel days we portaged and pulled over beaver dams 4 to 10 times per day, meaning being ankle to waste deep in water as we loaded and unloaded canoes. We used your Lamilite socks with jungle boots, which drain water as you walk, and I believe your socks are superior to the neoprene I have tried in the past. Feet stay warmer and the Lamilite socks dry faster. I slept with the socks on even if still damp to provide warmth at night. They were completely dry by morning.

Alan D.

The above testimonial was received this morning. Alan has used the Lamilite socks in a manner I never thought of. Many of my products have been used in ways that I have not given thought too and as always I am very appreciative when people like Alan share those experiences, so I can pass them on to my customers.

I checked the water temperature in the boundary waters for the month of September, 40 to 63 degrees F. I knew it was cold.

People who participate in water activities that require they wear some form of footwear for all intent and purposes experience cold feet. I now confidently say the use of the Lamilite socks does make a difference.

If you kayak you may very well be in cold water, remember that the Pogies that I make are destined for use winter biking, but were originally invented by a woman wanting to keep her hands warm while kayaking during warm weather because the water was cold. Feet are also subject to the same cold water.

How about trout fishing in mountain streams, cold feet, possibly not the case with Lamilite socks, is they were better than the neoprene socks Alan wore in his jungle boots they may be better in waders.

These uses are added to the use by bikers and runners as well as hunters and climbers or anyone going into the great outdoors when the weather is cold.

The US Army testing laboratories have for some time been looking for socks that will perform with jungle boots, it has been found. Lamilite socks!!!!!!!

Lamilite / Climashield have demonstrated for over 30 years that it has save the day when it comes to insulation. I am constantly surprised when one of products shows that it can be used in a manner that I never gave thought too.

As always I give praise to the continuous filament fiber as being the best insulating medium ever invented by man. I applaud the Climashield Company for refining their product beyond what I was introduce to in 1968 when I was with the company that first started making Polar Guard for Celanese. The quality of Climashield is as consistent as it can get. It is what makes Wiggy’s possible.

Maybe someday some of the companies out there will wise up and move away from the snake oil salesman who claims to make insulations. Then they too will have a cold weather garment that will keep people warm versus cold weather garments that keep people cold.
