Now for me.

As you know I have had my encounters with various medical problems but some are dissipating.

About 7 months ago the oncologist showed me evidence that I could reduce the Zytiga cancer medication from1000 mg daily on an empty stomach and eating two hours later to 250 mg with a good meal. Quite a change.

For over a year my PSA has been sitting at 0.04 which he was very pleased with but he said it might as well be 0. All of this has made me feel very good. Two weeks ago, at my three month visit he told me that my blood work showed that PSA was undetectable.

In my eyes I think that I do not have any active cancer. As one knows it can rear its ugly head so I keep taking the Zytiga and if the PSA shows up, I will increase the Zytiga to 1000mg again.

The other ailment I have been living with is the shingles. At this very moment I believe the shingles is subsiding, dissipating, or just plain old going away. August 22, 2023, is 4 years that I have dealing with it. If all I had to be concerned with was the cancer all this time, I would have been much happier. But good things happen to people who wait.

I off the report about my living with being a prostate cancer patient and how I have survived, I was told 4 years ago it was 4^th stage and I am still here. this is to give other men who are dealing with the same ailment information that can help them.

I was lucky that my doctor was not cut happy and I believe the trend today when diagnosed with prostate cancer is not to cut so fast.

When I was told that I had it my life appeared in front of me as those who I have spoken with said the same thing when they were told they had cancer but, in all cases, we have found as my doctor told me right away you will live a long time and probably die from something else, I think he is right.

So, to those of you getting to be 60 years old start checking your blood tests for PSA because the sooner you start monitoring the PSA numbers the better off you will be.

I gave you all the bad news and now I am happy to give you the good news about me.
