Reviewed bySherman on Google I received this email testimonial from Google. Never knew
they published these, so thank you Sherman. It is always nice to know my
sleeping bags are doing what they are supposed to do after 18 years. 5 stars can't be better than that! PAC BOOTS My customer Brady wrote to me letting me know the second
pair of Pac boots he spoke of is from Kamik. They are a Canadian manufacturer
that I put out of my mind. All of the rudder bases I used for my Pac boots I
bought from them. Must have been between 15 and 20 years ago. When I met with one of the sons of the owner of the company
at the outdoor retailer show I showed him the Sunwalker’s and explained to
him that they do not retain moisture the way the felt they were then and
still use today. I could make them for the company or I would sell them the
Lamilite and they could make them in their own factory. I knew I was speaking to an idiot who had no understanding
of how bad a product the felt inserts were. They may or may not actually make them in their own factory
but I suspect they do. The reality is they know the problem with felt
inserts as do ALL of the companies that use them, but they sell extra pairs
separately. You need one to two pair a day depending upon how long you wear
them each day. They take 24 to 48 hours to dry so you need 4 or 5 extra
pair. Of course if they replaced the felt with Lamilite inserts one pair is
all you need. They don’t absorb water and if they do get wet they dry in
less than an hour. They are more expensive than the felt inserts but
because the Pac boots are now a much better product and I have found that
people will pay more for product that actually works. I know this to be
true because my sales of Sunwalker’s increases each year. Of course retailers that inventory Pac boots do not want
them to change either because they sell the extra pairs of inserts and
probably at least one extra pair when the Pac boots are initially bought. If
that is the case you should know at that moment why you should not buy the Pac
boots in the first place. However, so long as the Pac boot manufacturers or importers
of the Chinese made products there will always be a new customer developing
for Wiggy’s Sunwalker’s. As I have advised before if you must have a Pac boot buy the
least costly pair, throw away the inserts and replace them with the tall
Sunwalker’s. On the web site they are named the Sunwalker 2. One more time we observe a company that refuses to accept a
basic fact which is the body produced moisture in a cold situation becomes
the enemy of the body that produced it unless it is directed away from the
body. Will the ownership of Kamik ever accept this fact, my opinion no. ROBBERY OF CANADA GOOSE PARKAS Two of my customers wrote to me about the Canada Goose
parkas being stolen from people wearing them in Chicago. They range in cost
from $500.00 to $1600.00. The thieves see the logo sewn on the garments so
they know what they are looking for to steal. One guy cut the logo off of
his parka. My question is; when the thieves discover they are no so
warm will they try and find their victim and return it? I have never believed in using my customers as bill boards
the way all of the other companies do. Canada Goose should start selling insurance policies with
their parkas. |
