A TESTIMONIAL AND AN EXPOSE
Jerry,
Last year, you recommended the fishnet top with insulated wind shirt for winter trail running. I tried it and reported to you how well it works. This year, I've run in temperatures as cold as 13 degrees and have been warm and dry. I love the combination!
You also suggested I try running in Lamilite socks. I was unable to last year, as I was running in 5Fingers, which really don't permit socks. This year I've gone to low-profile running shoes, so tried running in Lamilite socks. I love them!! Cold, no problem! Broke through thin ice and got wet feet, again, no problem!
Thanks for the great products!
Best,
Blake
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS FROM PUBLISHED INFORMATION FROM A JAPANESE COMPANY UNIQLO WHO DEVELOPED THIS FIBER WITH TORAY A SYNTHETIC FIBER PRODUCER IN JAPAN. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THEM BUT THEY TOO HAVE THE LATEST AND GREATEST I MIGHT ADD IN INSULATION, READ ON.
Heat-generating clothing. HEATTECH. Lightweight high-tech fabric actually creates heat to warm you up and keep you warm.
It “actually” creates heat? The Japanese should get together with the Swiss.
Warms automatically. Stays warm. Surprising technology.
Surprise you are wrong!!!!
Staying warm through a cold winter is actually not all that difficult. Layer clothing to make a heavy outfit, or wear something made of a thick material. Since clothing was first created, people have gotten through the coldness of winter with either of these methods. How can you overcome the cold of winter without relying on thick clothing? That dilemma has been resolved with groundbreaking technology—HEATTECH from UNIQLO. Its fibers absorb moisture that the body emits, and the fabric itself generates heat. Just wearing it automatically warms you—a surprising innovation in technology wear. Moreover, the layer of air in between the fibers does not allow the warmth generated to escape, so that you can continue to feel warm as long as you are wearing it.
If the fibers are synthetic which they are since they are made by Toray a synthetic fiber producer they do not absorb moisture whether produced by the body or a lake. Body produced moisture starts losing its heat after it leaves the body and being absorbed into a fabric does not stop the heat loss action. And the moisture does not cause the fabric generate heat. What I would not be surprised to learn is that they at uniqlow for low iq is in the audience watching looney toons.
Thin, lightweight and comfortable— qualities resulting from tireless research WITH the human body.
Japan is doing extensive research into human dummies so maybe these uniqlow people are using them to test their garments. What can you learn from a manikin i.e. dummy as proven by Kansas State University Environmental Lab not a thing?
HEATTECH is not merely warm clothing. HEATTECH stretches and shrinks to fit your body. That is something you will feel once you try it on—unparalleled comfort, uninhibited movement. The days when you had to wear layer upon layer of restrictive clothing to feel warm are over.
Wear there garments on a cold day your life might be over. Insanity here!
Material developed from scratch. More than 10,000 prototypes. An embodiment of cutting-edge fiber technology.
HEATTECH is an innovative new material that UNIQLO developed jointly with global textile maker Toray. To achieve the ultimate in warmth and comfort, we created more than 10,000 prototypes. HEATTECH cannot be made with ordinary equipment. The fabric is made on dedicated production lines. HEATTECH generates and retains warmth, fights bacteria to prevent odors, prevents static electricity and is extremely comfortable. An embodiment of Japanese technology, HEATTECH was born from cutting-edge fiber technologies, where Japan leads the world. Since hitting the market in 2003, every year HEATTECH has evolved through improvements that incorporate customer feedback.
If this stuff has been on the market since 2003 how come we have not heard of it until now? Japanese technology must be slipping badly . Now this stuff not only keeps you warm but odor free and static free. What will they dream of next that it is also waterproof and breathable; it surprises me that it is said to be both now.
Over 100 million items sold in seven countries. Changing winter across the globe.
HEATTECH is more than just underwear. Although HEATTECH makes superb underwear, you can use it as you like in combination with other layers. We are surprising people around the world and freeing them from heavy winter clothing, not only in Japan, but in New York, London and Paris, too. UNIQLO’s mission is to change clothing, to change conventional wisdom and to change the world. HEATTECH is the embodiment of UNIQLO’s vision.
They now say it is underwear but not only underwear since it can be worn with other garments except they say heavy winter clothing is unnecessary. What a joke; uniqlow must have nothing better to do than dream up promotional verbiage to sell their product. Maybe they are now entering the US market because getting paid from the seven countries that they have sold into is becoming a problem.
According to some companies we have gone from wearing clothing that makes one look like the Michelin man to dressing in tights but you will still be warm.
I find it very dishearten to know that there are now a proliferation of companies that exist in the textile industry who have what seems no compunction towards their fellow man. I have said it before and I’ll say it again and will continue to say it; the industry has observed the success of the bogus goretex product promoted by the gore company for now over 40 years and they have unfortunately gotten away with the rouse. So if one company can do it why can’t others? So what you see are companies that make outlandish claims about insulations as well as other materials and chemicals.
My advice is always to question the seller of a product that is claimed to have remarkable properties to prove what is claimed.
