NEW COLOR ADDITIONS FOR ULTRA LIGHTS AND SUPER LIGHTS
Our economy has been very kind to Wiggy’s. I recently was offered nylon taffeta the same quality we constantly use at a very favorable price. So, I purchased all available.
The colors are coyote, burgundy, navy, dark grey and orange.
I am using these fabrics except the orange for Super lights and Ultra lights. They are available at the existing prices of $165.00 for the ultra lights and $175.00 for the super lights.
I only have a limited number of yards so I do not know how many bags can be made. Once the fabric is gone its gone.
Being the only manufacturer of sleeping bags means I get first offer of these materials all made in the USA and all pure finish which means no chemicals have been added to the material. Even if you are not chemically sensitive do you want to be exposed to breathing in fumes that are available in ALL the sleeping bags that come from Asia and are readily available in stores like rei, etc.
I do not know if any Wiggy’s employees are chemically sensitive but I do know in 35 years no one has ever complained, because for 35 years we have not brought into the factory chemically treated fabrics.
In this day and age, we in the USA are continually bombarded with products that are treated with chemicals so it is no doubt we are seeing more and more people becoming chemically sensitive especially the very young. I cannot fathom becoming chemically sensitive at age 4 and having to be watchful for the rest of my life.
Parents call me all the time about kid’s size bags, and I tell them getting mine the regular, regular size which will last so long they will grow into them and probably outgrow them. Why let your child sleep in a bag where the child is breathing in toxic fumes from the materials.
I am very often asked on the phone or through an e mail what chemicals are used in the materials used to make my sleeping bags and I confidently answer none other than the dyeing of the fabric. The companies that sell the no sleep sleeping bags that are made in Asia most likely China should be required to list on the labels the chemical compositions applied to the fabrics used to make the bags.
The season is changing and I like to think many families will go camping this summer, if you don’t have a sleeping bag ours are the best in the world and they are as they have always been chemical free.
