Thanks again - nice to see you published my comment! The reason I am e-mailing you today is to tell you the other reason I bought your gear and will continue to buy from you - is the fact that I am a surveyor and also a pilot. I also travel a lot around the world and really need equipment that is absolutely warm. I often spend a lot of time outdoors in very cold environments setting up equipment and what nots. I have had a lot of gear 'and have gone through a lot of gear' and some very cold experiences!!!!! I am going to recommend your equipment to the rest of our survey team! I hope to get them to at least see what I bought and see how warm it is, and maybe I can sell them on it!! Thanks again!!

I am very pleased with the progress that the Ducksback material is experiencing. We are receiving orders daily and most recently from the military.

As for the article I wrote yesterday about the air force buying trash bags there is more that you tax payers should be aware of. Since these bags are made in Asia they are filled with the cheapest polyester fiberfill known to mankind. Breaking apart and going flat with use is standard. The sewing method as I demonstrated when I dissected the north face bag some months back showed there was not overlock safety stitching done so seams will open quite easily. And finally these bags as well as literally all bags made in Asia have coil zippers which are notoriously known for breaking easily. Remember these bags are being given to soldiers so these problems will show up very quickly in the field and will ultimately be discarded. That is how some government employees spend our tax dollars.

Then there is the fact that what are being purchased are sleeping bags. A sleeping bags purpose is to allow the person who gets in it to go to sleep. With these bags that is not going to happen, so the reference to the bags being sleeping bags is erroneous Even in the civilian world most people using bags with fancy labels like big agnes or mountain Hardwear or sierra designs how about the north face; in literally all cases the people who buy these bags and attempt to use them at the lower spectrum of the temperature rating do not sleep.

I have never read any testimonials over the years about any of the products that the companies mentioned have received from everyday customers. I do get to read what some mountaineering clown who likes to brutalize himself has to say about these other brands products. Of course he has been subsidized by the likes of the north face with the products he is given plus money. Do you think he would ever offer a true statement about how uncomfortable he was but “I” survived mentality?
