Resurrection of nonsense
OUTLAST® THERMO-TECHNOLOGY REDUCES SWEAT PRODUCTION
Outlast is a specialist for proactive heat management for textile materials. The Heidenheim company uses a technology originally developed by NASA.
I researched the Heidenheim Company and only found the city by the same name. they do test of numerous products.
I know of outlast since its inception but I have never heard of them being “proactive heat management” and I have no idea or knowledge what that means. I do know that they apply in some manner beads of paraffin that has been encapsulated this is supposed to absorb heat, store it and then send that heat back to where it came from. They figured if gore could write that their material could defy physics by being waterproof and breathable [vaper permeable] outlast could have an equal lie saying their material could also defy physics by saying that their material could cause heat to move away from the source and then return to whence it came from. Also, a lie.
Up to 48% less sweating thanks to Outlast®*
One lie leads to another lie. They have to dream up verbiage about their product to sell it even though the lie is outrageous as in”48 percent less sweating”. Is this even possible? NO!!!
Microencapsulated natural wax can be applied to almost any textile material thanks to various procedures developed by Outlast. These capsules can capture and store body heat, so forming a natural heat buffer. Overheating and the start of sweat production can thus be efficiently avoided.
See they are explaining what they do to “store body heat” in these “itsy-bitsy almost microscope size beads so your body [if you are active] will not sweat!!! Can these beads of paraffin actually accomplish this action; NO!!! but people in the employ of outlast believe this just like the employees of gore believing in their products ability to work. Both of these companies must pay generous salaries to keep the lie going. “Sweat production can thus be EFFICIENTLY avoided.” Not only do they defy physics but they also defy how the human body works.
Conventional heat management systems try to channel the sweat that develops and wick it away from the body.
There are no “conventional heat management systems” nor is there an unconventional heat management system. All moisture absorbing materials such as cotton and wool wick away moisture. they do not try they just do!!!
Outlast® thermo-materials start working even before the moisture is created. In this way, the amount of sweat can be significantly reduced. Independent studies confirm a reduction of up to 48%*. And the highlight: If the body temperature falls again, for example due to reduced physical activity, the natural wax releases the stored heat again. Despite fluctuating external temperatures, the user can thus always enjoy a wonderfully balanced climate.
All I can say about this paragraph it is the epitome of gobble goop. It has no meaning and speaks a language that has no meaning.
NOW WE GET TO LEARN HOW THE outlast company HAS JOINED FORCES WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT HAS A PENCHANT TO EXAGERATE WHAT THEIR PRODUCT CAN DO. THE END RESULT IS TWO COMPANIES THAT LIE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT AS WELL, aerogel. NOW WE HAVE DOUBLED THE SIZE OF THE LIE.
I went to the “inside climate” web site only to find a company like the Hohenstein [hoho] institute who is very good at making machines to test for things that have no meaning in real life. They at inside climate have made a machine called a “sweator”, which also has no function representing real life actions. This company like hoho is located in Germany, they German’s are very good at making machines that sometimes have no meaning as in this case. The claim the following: “the sweator is a static, quantitively reproducible source for humidity and heat. It can simulate the human thermoregulation process with various available test body shapes”. I do not know what all of that means other than to wonder if things change if the human bodies are of different shapes, is that possible.
I wrote to them asking about testing a sleep system of mine so far, no answer.
Aerogel is the world’s lightest solid and, with its extremely high air content, offers the best insulation value of all known solids in the world.
Think about how small a material has to be that is solid and 98% the weight of air. This material then according to the aerogel people is capable of being the “best” insulation value of all known solids in the world. This statement is false because they have yet to prove it.
Processing Aerogel is extremely complex yet outlast managed to bind the high-performance material to textile carrier materials using an innovative patented process.
As far as I know from what I have seen the aerogel material is so light in weight it almost floats, so is it any wonder why it would be “extremely complex’ [difficult] to handle. But, outlast has managed to “bind the high performance material [yet to be proven] to a textile carrier materials using an innovative “patented” process. I can only imagine outlast has dumped the aerogel into a vat of paraffin while it is in a liquid state and mixed it up really well dispersing the aerogel materials evenly throughout the paraffin material. Then they start the process of making the encapsulated now paraffin and aerogel balls.
This marked the birth of AERSULATE®, a new type of insulation that exceeds conventional insulation materials in many respects. For instance, AERSULATE® requires significantly less space to achieve the same insulation values.
We now have here two materials that have by themselves never proved to perform as an insulation so putting them together will not cause them to work at all. Therefore, what we have is not “a new type of insulation that exceeds conventional insulation material in many respects.” Since this combination of materials has never worked independently of each other in combination nothing has changed, it still does not work in any respect. Aersulate is nothing more than a grand lie, it does not have any insulation value.
Aerogel company has a product that does not work on its and so they worked out a deal with primaloft to I guess improve the primaloft product and it has not happened and now to improve the outlast product, it hasn’t or will not happen.
The lying was started by gore and many companies in the textile industry have followed lying about their products. I wonder now what the future holds for us.
