Good evening,

I spent five day work related trip in the woods of South Eastern Finland. My hooch was a tarp set up like a tent, and inside it I had my Wiggy's Super Light and Wiggy's Military Style Bivy BQ. The weather was misty and damp, and during the nightime temperature was often near or slightly below 0 C.

My conclusion is, that Lamilite really works as advertised and that it really shines when moisture is problem. Each and every morning I woke up bone dry. The Bivy collected some moisture but nothing serious. My conclusion was/is that with (hydrophobic) Lamilite bag, the bivy is not necessary if you have some form of protection from the direct rain. The Bivy itself is well made, and it could be a lifesaver when quick shelter is required. It's worth noting that the Bivy is also very wind proof.

I have used the Super Light in wide variety of conditions this year, and I think that it's the flagship of Wiggy's sleeping bag line. Thank you for this fine product.

It should be mentioned that the hood can be adjusted individually from below and above the users face. In that manner the size and shape of the opening can be adjusted to be effective and comfortable. Knowing one's gear helps to use it to its full potential.

I just received another Super Light FTRSS, and next purchase will be Ultra-Light, maybe Nautilus and some more clothing.

Trust is earned.

Yours Truly, Joni

Periodically I receive a testimonial from someone in Europe but this is the first with a photograph. Thank you Joni.

TRYING YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE YOU OFFER THEM TO THE CONSUMER

I am convinced that the people who conjure up fabrics and then garments for people to use in a variety of circumstances have never ever tried these products.

Yesterday’s article represents a perfect example of two companies that have never bothered to use the fabric for the intended purpose. After publishing the article I researched the Kitsbow Company. They sell cycling clothing. Polartec sells fabrics. Polartec is working to incorporate wool a fiber that they have not used in the past and a material since wool is becoming a more used material in the outdoor market these days.

Having created a wool one side and polyester the other side fabric they sought out a firm that it could apply to that being a company that sells cycling clothing. When Polartec developed this did they ever make a garment with it for someone who rides a bicycle to see if it will perform as they state; NO. Did the company Kitsbow make any garments with this fabric and get on a bicycle to see if it works as described to them; NO.

So neither knew if it would work as described in the article I published and wrote about yesterday.

This lack of action by more and more companies is becoming the norm. Gore father and son never tried goretex, not one company that has been buying goretex ever tried their product incorporating goretex to see if it works as described. I always wonder about the companies that make down sleeping bags if they actually used them for more than one or two nights. Every mountaineer using them loves frost in their bag and because of that the companies that sell them don’t use them more than two nights and that is in the summer only.

The entirety of chemical companies that sell odor eliminating chemicals or bug chemicals or chemicals that are supposed to make your blood flow somehow different that is beneficial have never actually tried these chemicals. Maybe they are chemically sensitive.

Does all of this give you reason to wonder if in the future you will ever be able to trust what they say about whatever it is they sell? I suspect not.

I do not want to leave out the fiberfill companies because I am very sure they have never worn a jacket with their fiberfill on a cold day.

Doesn’t all of their machinations get old!!!!
