SLEEPING WARM IN A SLEEPING BAG

The other day a customer called and in conversation he said how much he loved being warm in his sleeping bags and how great it was that his moisture left his bag. I said that is how it is supposed to work

As you know the military US, Canada or elsewhere in the world soldiers are always cold in their sleeping bags [?] when the temperature drops below 32 degrees, there is a reason for this situation to happen. This also applies to civilians.

You are out all day doing things. You are generating moisture that is being absorbed by your clothing. at some point you get into your sleeping bag [?] [not a Wiggy’s bag] and at first you are warm but as time goes by you start getting a slight chill and if you were sleeping and you wake. What is going on?

If you are in the military the sleeping bag [?] you have been issued does not have enough insulation. If you are civilian and you have a Chinese made sleeping bag [?] the situation is the same. When you get in one of these bags [?] the heat from your body is not trapped in the bag therefore it flows right out the top of the bag. The moisture that is in whatever you are wearing in the bag is also absorbing your body heat. This situation is prevalent worldwide, but I am more concerned about the USA or Canada.

If the insulation is as efficient as it is in all sleeping bags [?] other than Wiggy’s bags that which I have described is what you can expect.

Lamilite is what sets Wiggy’s SLEEPING BAGS apart from every other product sold as a sleeping bag. Lamilite is and has proven to be the most efficient insulating medium ever used in sleeping bags or outerwear as well. Lamilite does not attach itself to water or vapor.

When you get into Wiggy’s sleeping bag with whatever clothing you have been wearing all day the first thing you realize is that you are warm. There is a process of actions beginning to happen. Because your body heat is being contained within the cavity of the sleeping bag it is warming the moisture in the garments you are wearing. From my research there is a process called “thermal evaporation” which does not require high heat, this is the process I believe taking place when your body heat is causing the moisture in your clothing to go out of the bag. This is evident if the temperature is above freezing because water puddles up on the surface of the Wiggy bag or as frost when the temperature is below freezing.

Hundreds, literally hundreds of Wiggy bag owners have written to me over the years and I have printed their letters in my newsletter letting me know their experience. Had it not been for the feedback from my customers on this subject and many other things I would not have known about their experiences.

I think it is unfortunate that the companies making products available at the retail level have no knowledge of what they are selling. That is a product that does not actually work at any temperature. They have never even tried to educate themselves about what it takes to make a sleeping bag. All of this is to my advantage.

I have realized the importance of knowing why my sleeping bags perform as they do. I am therefore better able to inform people interested in my sleeping bags and I can then give them the necessary information to make the decision to buy Wiggy’s bag.

When I think about the soldiers who I believe suffer with issue bags that do not perform I wonder if they say anything. At least in Canada the soldiers were asked, and they did not hold back. I saw a video of the meeting with several of the soldiers and the I, guess the master Sargent who held court. This may not ever happen in the US. Unfortunately, the powers to be never have realized the problem and therefore have no way of correcting it. The correction could only happen if the sleeping bag worked. The only sleeping bag that will work is a WIGGY bag. At this time the Canadian military has one of my bags so time will tell what they do.

So, all you military folks serving in Alaska Wiggy’s is what you want.
