THE FIRST REPORT OF THE SEASON

Just got back from a 12 day trek in New Mexico. I purchased your 29 degree sleeping bag for this trek and stayed warm and dry thru the entire trek!! Loved the bag!!

At 50, this was my first time backpacking and camping. On the advice of a friend, I bought your bag and it was awesome!! Been telling everyone that I meet about you and your products.

Thanks for 12 days and nights of awesome sleep.

Mark

This afternoon I received the above email. Since I do not make a 29 degree bag I had my office look up Mark’s orders and the bag he bought and used is an Ultra-Light 20 degree bag. Mark thank you for your letter and thank your friend for me for advising you to get a Wiggy bag. And very importantly many more thanks for telling everyone about my products.

The following is reprinted from snews the outdoor industry magazine mouth.

Arc’teryx joins big name companies like Patagonia and REI with their "Rock Solid" program, an initiative that takes used gear and repairs it to resell at a fraction of the cost. The company hopes to lessen the amount of resources they waste and encourage consumers to be more conscientious of their spending habits.

All three of these companies want to show how concerned they are with respect to lessening their carbon foot print. I had a customer in the store this morning purchasing a new Antarctic parka because he said the one he had was now about 15 years old and he has to replace it. I guess the Wiggy carbon foot print must be very small.

These three companies as well as a host of many more associated with the “outdoor industry” are also trying to offer sustainable products so as not to hurt the landscape of the world.

Arc’teryx is remarkably disingenuous with their statement “to encourage consumers to be more conscientious of their spending habits”. They would really like everyone out there to buy one of their products!!!

Are they going to have representatives travelling around the country and getting on platforms to make this effort? The only way this company and the rest of the lot will lessen the amount of resources they waste is if they stop buying poor quality materials versus good quality materials and make products that last like my parkas and other products that are made in the USA from good quality materials.

One last item, for those of you who have a need to keep your feet warm in subzero conditions I have reduced the price of the muk luks from $175.00 to $1500.00
