PRESEASON SALE OF OVER BOOTS AND MUKLUKS
This past winter has been the best winter for sales of my over boots and mukluks.
If you are a hunter who spends time in a tree stand you already know that your feet are the most vulnerable part of your body to the cold temperatures. If you are an ice fisherman again your feet are subject to the cold from the frozen lake. If you hunt as I have during third season at altitude (I hunted at 1200 feet in November) you will experience cold feet. That was never a problem for me because I always used the mukluks. I did change to the over boots when I started making them because they are lighter in weight and were fine at 20/25 below zero.
There are I am sure a multitude of situations that people experience where either the over boots or mukluks are very beneficial, such as trappers, winter campers, etc.
I know there are other products on the market but either they are good for walking but are not insulated or they are insulated but not good for walking. People who use the insulated types in tree stands must remove them in order to get out of the tree and pursue an animal. Mine have the Vibram sole so you can easily walk in them. I did for 3 days in a blizzard once.
Are you a fire fighter or otherwise work in a situation that requires fire retardant footwear I make fire retardant mukluks and over boots. If the boots you are wearing have steel toes they will cause your toes to get cold but wearing my mukluks or over boots will solve the problem. These insulated products will help keep the heat from your feet warming the steel toe area so you will not have cold toes any longer.
Periodically during the winter months I have seen fire fighters working in very cold condition in cities like Chicago fighting fires. These men are slogging through slush and even though they are wearing rubberized boots a suspect they have cold feet. If they were wearing my fire retardant mukluks or over boots over their fire retardant leather boots they would have warm feet even if water does get into the mukluks or over boots. I know this for fact because when I was lost I walked through streams on several occasions and even though water did get into my mukluks I never knew it until I took them off in the cook’s tent. Never did have cold feet even though the temperatures I experienced went from -20 to about -50 F.
I have decided to make an offer you can’t refuse if you really want to have warm feet next winter. Effective immediately I am discounting my mukluks and over boots both non-flame retardant and flame retardant until September 30, 2019 as follows;
MUKLUKS-1000 DENIER CORDORA-$175.00
OVER BOOTS-1000 DENIER CORDORA-$110.00
MUKLUKS-NOMEX FR-$175.00
OVER BOOTS-NOMEX FR-$150.00
For the sake of good order I must remind you if you buy a pair of these mukluks or over boots they are to be worn over a stable boot, the boots can be tall combat style or ankle high like chukka boots. I say this because several people have bought them and have tried wearing them over my booties or Sunwalkers. They found out in short order that they do not work very well when worn over soft footwear. Don’t forget that having the Lamilite socks is also a bonus for having warm feet.
Also, I will be reviewing the sales of the outerwear garments that we were slow in getting to customers. I will offer them at a discount for anyone who chooses to order them during the warm weather months so they can have them for the cold weather months.
Please understand that Wiggy’s does not have the time to make and store inventory so the earlier one order’s the better off you are in making sure you have whatever product you want. Wiggy’s I am happy to say has been at maximum capacity for about 12 months which is a manufacturers dream. So, I am doing my best to give customers new and old the best guidance in ordering from Wiggy’s.
Thank you one and all for your continued support.
