WHY LINER JACKETS ARE SO GOOD
The following e mail I received this past weekend.
Thank you very much for your prompt response in getting me the sleeping socks that were missing from my last order. I have 4 pair now, enough for every member of my family. They are great to wear in boots when camping. Also great for sleeping.
And your liner jacket is superior to fleece. Better in every regard (mobility, vapor permeability, warmth), as a layer.
Thanks,
Gordon
Gordon you are very welcome but thank you for being a customer and your comments about the liner jacket.
Some 30 years ago a fellow called and said he was going to Alaska to hunt and wanted something to cover his boots and legs crossing streams. He was tired of carrying his waders that were heavy and changing from boots to waders at every crossing. He described to me what he wanted that would be light and easy to put on without taking off his boots. That needless to say was how I started making the waders. I figured if they worked for 3 hunters, they would work for 3000 hunters.
Since those three pair were made, we have sold more than 3000 pair and I know they are not limited to hunters.
I do not know how many liner jackets we have sold over the past 4 or 5 years but we have sold many hundreds of them. Gordon’s comment specifically about its “vapor permeability” is very telling. I have said the liner jacket is far better than fleece. Gordon’s comment that it is superior and then listing why is the first time any customer has done so.
Over the years numerous customers have expressed how warm the liner jacket is and wear it by itself on mild days.
The reason is simple, it’s the Lamilite / Climashield that stifles heat movement but not the moisture, you stay warm and dry.
I have continually pointed out the need to allow body perspiration to get away from you but I very much appreciate the support I receive from my customers and because it is documented I enjoy publishing these comments. What I really like Gordon’s comment it is “superior to fleece”.
I couldn’t say it better.
