TESTIMONIALS AND GRATEFUL SUPPORT
Hey jerry
Just got back from a night in the bush. Thought i would take a few moments to send you a good review.
I and another ranger and our friend left town yesterday on a ptarmigan hunt. It was my first time testing the Antarctic parka i bought a couple weeks ago. When we left on snowmobile the temp was -40 . We went a few kilometres behind town and decided to set camp for the night. Not once was I at all uncomfortable in your coat. It is by far the best parka I have put on my back. Even sitting still I was still toasty. Later that night the temp dipped to -55 degrees wind-chill. Me and my buddy, both in Wiggys Antarctic bags slept all night without issue. We were also using your booties and ground pads. I woke up to my bag completely white with frost. I was completely dry and warm. Getting out of the bag to light the stove was quite a surprise. The ground pad also kept my back warm and comfortable. My only issue is one of the stitches started to break on my compression sack. I’m guessing because of the cold. Not a big deal. We will be buying more of your gear in the near future. Thanks for superior products

Jerry,
Today at Hill n’ Dale Club here in Medina, Ohio, I pheasant hunted with my fabulous springer spaniel, a friend, and our club guide in 7 degree weather and 12” of newly fallen snow. We did a cleanup hunt after a Continental Release. From the day before. As we began, we were chilled to start but I quickly gained warmth and even opened the zipper to vent myself wearing only wool short and my unbelievably comfortable Ducksback Parka. I’ve written before but this hunting test truly was meaningful to me as I was warm, comfortable, and never wet from sweat. Once back in the lodge, I turned my parka inside out, made a hot chocolate, and returned to find my parka completely dry from my body perspiration and from the snow that melted on the parka. Fabulous piece and truly something everyone needs to own as their single winter garment. Can’t say enough good things about my parka. I even washed it nice was home to remove the dirt from the trek through the woods…plus my slip in a creek (getting old)!
All the Best!

NOW THE SUPPORT RESPONSES
Jerry:
That you even printed this for the entire planet to read indicates that you get so few complaints. But this person is nearly childish. Then again I do not wish to insult a child. If not living in the desert, why buy a desert bag to be used elsewhere?
I’m guessing I have nearly $2,000.00 in just Wiggy’s sleeping bags alone as they are placed in places of potential safety needs. They all have performed better than any bags I have ever used. I am now 70 yrs. old and wish I had had a Wiggy’s bag while in the military in the late 60’s and early 70’s. The vest, mitts, socks, pads, ponchos, rain gear, ALL performs as advertised and claimed. What is not to like?
I suspect the writer has a hard existence being that dimwitted at paying attention to the world around him. Scary thing is he probably has a driver’s license.
Many Thanks,
Dave
Hey Jerry, your newsletter Jan 20th was very inspiring, great quote from the Fountainhead. It’s great to see someone like you in the outdoor industry (or anywhere, for that matter)
Jerry,
That turd is full of crap! I own three of your Desert
Bags, the first in ‘92! The first one kept me and a squad mate
Very warm during our nine day war at TBS, Quantico, VA!
This was during the middle of winter, not fun temps! My squad
Mate, a lawyer, was very grateful as we used it as a
Cover not as a zipped up bag.
Tell the complainer he needs to get back on his meds
As he is delusional!
Semper Fi for your products!

Sir, I use your sleeping bags recreationally, but I use YOUR bags, because I've proven to myself, that yours are the only bags that will keep me alive, in the worst case scenario, and have done so in the past, hence, Life Support Equipment. This is how I characterize your bags when I talk or write about them.

Mr. William, you are full of bull shit! I dress the same way throughout spring, autumn and winter. I use Wiggy’s fishnet, worn out army brown polypro, Wiggy’s vest liner, and Wiggy’s jacket liner as a shirt/jacket. The outer clothing is Carhartt summer weight farmer overall, or the Carhartt unlined duck weight farmer overall. Oh, I wear Lamilite socks with summer weight boots. What separates extreme cold weather from cold weather, is my Walt Disney Rain Pullover which does not work in the rain. So, Mr. William, you are insulting the costumer who knows better than you. Oh, I sleep every night with the Wiggy’s jacket liner, and it is thinner than the sleeping bag. Therefore Mr. William, you are still full of bull shit, and have a nice day!
Thank you,
Ferenc G.
I have a policy of not changing what someone writes to me. This supporting email caused me to smile. Ferenc does make a good point about my customers possibly being insulted, I hope not even you Ferenc.
And this email.
“THE DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER”
A lot of people think the house is 50 degrees because the thermostat is set at 50 degrees. That is usually not the case. I am guessing that his bedroom was much colder than 50 degrees or he is one of those people that want to stir the crap.
If you would forward my email address to him I would gladly buy the bag for a discount.
Have a great day and don't bother with the haters.
Richard
If he contacts me I’ll send him your address as I know he receives the newsletters.
Based upon the supporting responses to the article from last night has brought out for me testimonials that are very beneficial. I may have lost by choice a customer but I gained something far more important; support, so thank you one and all.
What I am enjoying are the many ways and temperatures that my products are used. I hope this information experienced by these people is helpful for others. I have always maintained the people who buy my products use them in ways that I would not have the chance since my job is making sure they are made right so they will function as they do. In many instances many of my products have been used successfully in ways I hadn’t even though of. So hooray to my customers.
