HOW MUCH BETTER CAN A TESTIMONIAL GET
Hi Jerry- your newsletter of January 2, 2024, hit the spot. That day I was out canoeing here in east central Missouri.
I wore your liner vest, a liner jacket and another of your liner jackets that has the collar. Overall, this was an anorak.
Paddling downstream we don’t generate much heat…don’t have to worry much about sweat… it is more about keeping warm.
You mentioned how nylon slides and lets you move easier without binding. This is absolutely true and is important.
I spent 25 years working outside every day and would layer up with fleece and always hated how the layers stuck together and got bound up.
Your stuff works. It is not fashionable but it just works.
I recently bought a shirt jacket and vest in your FR material. They are warm!!! It may be a shirt jacket for some but here in St. Louis it is a fairly heavy coat. I love the collar and how it goes up high and surrounds the neck…very warm and cozy. My Finnish anorak has that same sort of high tunnel collar….very effective.
A year ago, or so you listed some items you found in the warehouse. I got one of the Supplex sweaters. Very warm! And two of the liner jackets with collars. They were not what I expected. I thought they would be like your other liner jacket. I was pleasantly surprised with the high tunnel collar and the long length. Makes a great layering piece.
And now you are making the Antarctic parka again…. I don’t know if I need one, but I do want one.
Thanks for making such great gear.
I wish you a well and prosperous 2024.

Tom is an advertisement for Wiggy’s layering system. I couldn’t write this myself because I don’t canoe. But I do know the overall amount of movement required, and Tom has expressed the old problems and the new answer.
This applies to all sporting and working activities.
I do not want to belabor the point so thank you Tom.
Before for the day ended I received the following email and I thought things couldn't get better.
Hey there, I ordered a artic bag and FTRSS cover, I was just curious on how long it takes to get made and shipped out. On another note, I just wanted to say I used my dad’s artic bag and I was left speechless, the wicking technology is awesome! I live in northern Manitoba Canada and its -45/-60 5 months of the year, and we have never had a problem, I recommend your sleeping bags to everyone I meet as everyone in the north should have one, thank you for making a great product. I also love your videos on how you break down other brands bags and where their product lack in quality, again love your gear, next on my list in your insulated bivi shelter!!!
thanks
