testimonials based on yesterdays article plus some nonsense

RESPONSE TESTIMONIALS TO YESTERDAYS ARTICLE

There is no arguing with the Ultra-Lite crowd....their sleeping bags, tents, ground pads and backpacks are made for speed while hiking not a good night sleep, long term durability or when the weather turns really nasty on them.

I backpacked the White Mountains in NH for over 10 years with a Desert Bag and never once was cold and never slept in my clothes.....

It’s sad that the ultra-light weight company blindly promotes items that saturate the market. It seems to me that they are only interested in instant revenue and not: the well-being of their target audience; the alternative to their current inventory. Thorough and objective research is necessary to find and market goods that perform as advertised.

Wiggy’s outperforms their own claims which in itself speak volumes. That their existing client base voluntarily and regularly submits positive testimonials (except that one guy we all crucified in retort to his highly subjective and emotionally ruled opinions) provides proof that Wiggy’s goods are genuinely superior and Wiggy’s sincerely puts their customers first.

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. If Jerry’s brutal honesty is politically incorrect and offends the delicate sensibilities of the inane down sleeping bag company owners, then it can also be said that Dave and Annie offend their customers with their stupidity. To not know the facts is ignorance; to see the facts and openly turn away from them is stupidity.

Facts are just facts. They are objective. Incomplete research is unprofessional, unethical and in short, cheats their customers. Dave and Annie are foolish to ignore facts. Words wasted on them. Pearls to pigs.

I hope I’m wrong and they do a 180 to at least do objective, empirical research. They would conclude in agreement with Jerry regardless of their decision to include or exclude Lamilite from their current offerings.

Either I deleted the name of the poster or he never mentioned his name at the end of the post.

Jerry,

These are the people you cut the end of their toothbrush off, to save weight.

I never know if any readers will send me comments pertaining to my articles but I am grateful always when I receive them.

I find it very disconcerting to read about a product that the writer has no knowledge of with respect to how it is made and the materials involved used to make the product. Over the years that I have been in the insulation for outerwear and sleeping bag area of the textile industry I have come in contact with many people who talk the talk but certainly do not walk the walk. What follows is a perfect example of promotion by a well-known brand getting involved with a bogus product. This article is reprinted from Sportstextiles.com on line magazine web site that I receive daily.

Under Armour harnesses the power of infrared

Sports brand Under Armour has partnered with textile technology developer Celliant to create a new range of performance apparel made using a mineral-infused fabric that it is claimed helps the wearer save energy.

The operative word here is “claimed” versus does. Anybody can claim anything they want but can they prove it and in this instance no they cannot hence “claimed”.

The fibres in the fabric are infused with naturally-occurring thermo-reactive minerals. During exercise, the body emits heat. This would typically be lost, but the fabric in the new UA RUSH collection absorbs the heat, converts it into infrared energy and directs it back towards the body. This is said to increase circulation, boosting performance and recovery.

Let us change the laws of physics which states “heat moves to cold”, therefore it cannot reverse as is stated by celliant anymore that the outlast company making the same statement about the way they believe their micro-encapsulated paraffin is supposed to work. Utter nonsense!!!

Under Armour has compared its impact on the body to spending time in an infrared sauna.

I have an infrared sauna and all I know is, is that after a while I sweat which is the reason I am in there in the first place. So I have no idea what they are talking about.

The brand has revealed that a number of its athletes, including basketball star Stephen Curry and boxing world champion Anthony Joshua, have been training in UA RUSH clothing in recent months. It will release a documentary in the summer charting their training experiences.

Paid promoters of the product marketed by the company they own as in the case of Curry, and I guess the other guy just gets a pay check from them.

The collection includes men’s and women’s fitted T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, leggings and tights, and a sports bra for women. It will be available from April 11.

This is not Under Armour’s first attempt to harness the power of infrared energy. In 2017, it released a sleepwear range that was designed to promote faster recovery. It was created in partnership with American Football player Tom Brady.

Is this sleepwear still being made? Probably not.

In recent times Under Armour has had its share of financial problems losing many upper echelon staff so this is an attempt on their part to get revenue from the celliant company to promote one more bogus product in the market place.

So all of you who are in need of performance active wear garments you can waste your money on the UA garments or do as I do just wear a cotton T-shirt.

One last testimonial about the Ducksback Urban Parka

Rain or exterior moisture control superb. Interior moisture control same. Overall, a VERY worthwhile expenditure. As a person with COPD and heart issues (blood circulation probes) I just wish I had made this purchase ALOT sooner. At 1/2 the cost of MH, Marmot, C.G, etc. comparable gear (yes, they’re down-filled-I get it), Wiggy's products could've saved THIS former Himalayan climber and guide thousands of $$$$, without the paranoia about down and moisture. A Sincere thank you, and keep up the good work and excellent customer svc. -David from Washington.
