Wiggy’s,
Wanted to share my experience with you regarding my new Wiggy’s Hunter Ultima Thule -20º [Sleeping Bag]. After much research and speaking with you Jerry, I decided to go with the Hunter bag. I live in Illinois, but hunt in Alaska during the late fall season. Since hunting season in Alaska occurs before our winter here in Illinois, I have the opportunity to try out any new gear before I go up to AK for the next season week long hunt. Since I hunt way out in the bush, there is no room for mistakes!
I got my chance to try out my new bag on February 11th - 12th, 2016. In Illinois, where I live, the temps reached 3 degrees with a minus 13 wind-chill. I took this opportunity to put the Hunter Ultima to a real test: wearing only briefs and my new Lamilite socks, I ran out to the bag that was already lying in the yard cold (without the benefit of a tent). I quickly crawled into the bag and immediately started to feel the warming effects of its construction.
Jerry, I spent over two hours in the bag, wind blowing, but no cold effect at all! In fact, I even took off the Lamilite socks and my bare feet were warm and comfortable. Further, I had to unzip the bag a little to let some cool air in!
I now have firsthand experience with my extreme test to know that my future Alaskan hunts will be comforted with my new portable furnace called the Hunter Ultima Thule!
All the best and thank you!
