It is my opinion and I am not alone with respect to my thinking on the subject the climate is getting colder and as some believe the earth is heading towards a mini ice age. Many Russian climatologists are strong supporters of this activity. That said I am certain that we will have a colder winter this year than last. It will come earlier and may very well last longer. The weather we have been experiencing on the western slope of Colorado has been cooler than normal and we have had more rain thus far this summer than I have seen since I moved here in 1988. If it continues we will go from high mountain desert to a very green region. I believe the rain fall has been generated by the large number of typhoons that are moving through the Pacific Ocean. Also note that the hurricanes as we call them for the Atlantic Ocean have not occurred for five years and I do not expect we will experience any this summer either. Hurricanes need warm water to survive and the Atlantic has not been warm enough to feed the storms originating off of the coast of Africa. The reason the ocean is not warm enough to support these storms is because there is a lack of hot air being pushed east by the jet stream over the ocean which being water would absorb the heated air and then its temperature would increase. This action is necessary for the hurricanes to survive, however that is not the case so we do not have hurricanes.
Since we enter the fall having experienced lower temperatures during the summer months the fall months will also be cooler and as the days get shorter the nights will be cooler which in turn means that the days will take longer to warm up which means the nights get even cooler. The effect on winter months will be colder and I expect with more snow.
Today I have put on the web site both the Barron Grounds parka and the Antarctic on sale at a 20 percent discount. This is a preseason sale for those of you who want to prepare for the upcoming cold winter. The Barron Grounds parka is very effective for temperatures as low as -10 degrees F. The Antarctic parka is simply put the single warmest parka in the world and is used all over the state of Alaska from oil field workers, dog mushers and countless other individuals for the past 25 years. For the past 20 years we have sold the Antarctic parka to many thousands of people who live in the lower 48 as well.
So if you want the best cold weather parkas made you want Wiggy’s.
STAY WARM!
