Introducing the New Lamilite Boot!

It has taken a few weeks but the New Lamilite Boot is going into production and I expect to have the shipment here in about seven or eight weeks.

The boot is made from 100% USA leather, lined with Lamilite insulation, and includes a Vibram sole. The color is dark brown. The size range which will be posted on the website will range from a size 6 to a size 15 both regular (D width) to a wide (E width). If you need a special size, I may be able to accommodate you. There may be a surcharge—we will see at that time.

One of the major differences between each of the three factories that have supplied me in the past is that the sole is now sewn on, not molded—so if you wear down the sole, it can easily be replaced. At the end of the article there are pictures of the boot.

As with all of the previous boots that I have sold, there is no film attached to the leather so it is vapor permeable. Having worn the boots for three days, I can assure you of its vapor permeability. I can also attest to its comfort. I wear a true 13 D and with my Lamilite socks, the fit is form fitting. I do not slosh around in the heal area nor down the sides.

The shaft is also more form fitting and it gives me more ankle support. At the very top of the shaft there is a foam padding that makes the top of the boot very comfortable. Please know that I am relating how the boot fits me, and haven’t any knowledge of others except to say that this is the most popular model the company has made for about 60 years, so I am confident it will fit most people as it fits me. Since I do not have scientific equipment to see how much moisture is in the boots when I take them off I just put my boot drier material inside of them and in the morning they are dry to the touch as are the Lamilite socks. Now in the third day, I am finding the fit since they are broken in is getting even better.

The cost for this boot if I were to sell it to any retail store would be about $285.00. Since I am the retailer, the cost is only $185.00.

Please keep in mind that these boots will be fine with Lamilite socks as cold as about -10º F and the Overboots would be necessary to go colder (to about -35º F).
