the personal test

PERSONALTESTING

Received our package (Sales order #422223) that included a jacket liner for the wife as she liked mine.

SECOND JACKET LINER EVAL:Yesterday, temps at 22F, I wore a T shirt of 50/50 poly that I had on while tending my wood stove. Over that was a light vest that I wore as I needed a few pockets.Over all that I wore my Wiggy’s jacket liner. I was planning to stay outside briefly. Got sidetracked and the time ended up being about 3 hours of sweat free, chill free, comfort. This was another very pleasant personal test for me with less clothing under the jacket liner than first test a few days ago.How far I could push the jacket liner and remain comfortable is my personal evaluation. I am 69, 5’-10”, 190lbs and stay very active. I spent the 3 hours inspecting / clearing fence lines. Head covering was the Ducksback Balaclava with an old neck gaiter.

Oh, the wife packaged up her Christmas purchased Puffy jacket for return to seller. She wore her just received Wiggy’s jacket liner and realized in short time, the much hyped ladies Puffy was no match. We did our usual small low power LED light test. I could read with the light that penetrated the commercial, overpriced, Puffy. Not so with the jacket liner.Thing is your liner is designed to be just that, a liner. Yet, it is better than many jackets.

Are we happy and warm…Oh Yea!

RESPONSE TO MY COMMENTS ABOUT AMAZON

Jerry,

I have so much respect for you and your products. Everything we purchased from you works!

This past holiday season I had the opportunity to experience Amazon’s entree into their own delivery service. I was so very disappointed.

What disturbed me most was to see these subcontractors that provide the service face to face. Without exceptions they looked frazzled and sometimes angry. Additionally, my daughter showed me a security camera capture of one driver throwing the neighbor’s package onto their common steps that resulted in product damage. My other daughter was missing deliveries that were reported as delivered on multiple occasions. I had one of my packages left in the snow pile at the end of my long driveway.

My wife complained to Amazon Delivery Services on behalf of our daughter and ourselves and as expected we received apologies and promises to reprimand the drivers. When she told me about her conversations with the customer service reps I felt bad for the drivers and customer service employees. I decided to stop ordering from Amazon even though I would likely have to pay more.

My background as an executive level consultant in strategic and tactical planning with 15 years in fulfillment operations processes, systems, and policies led me to conclude that this workforce is underperforming solely due to Amazon’s underfunded investments in fulfillment services.

After coming to my own conclusion to not use Amazon any longer, I saw this video of Alex Jones’ interview with a former Amazon fulfillment services employee that was tasked with analyzing their warehouse operations. There’s information therein that reveals the details behind the failure. It’s an eye opener.

With respect to Dave’s letter I am learning more than ever people who use products I make do not just write a short note that the product worked for them, they more and more present significant information.

I get to read time that one spends in the field. In Dave’s case he found he could stay out for a longer amount of time than expected. When you are warm you just continue to do whatever versus shortening your time out if you get cold. The reason is always the same, no moisture accumulation in your clothing that can affect you.

They, the others who write include the various layers that are worn as well.

Then you get to know the temperatures that they are out in. I am sure Dave had his neckline open and therefore most of the perspiration he was giving off moved out of his clothing through his neckline. All of his movements were creating that bellows action which further helped the warm moist air (sweat) move out of his clothing.

As for his wife, she probably had a not so puffy jacket and the quilting was probably those one inch or so squares that are commonly showing on all of the fancy pricy garments. But they like to call them puffy garments.

As for the response to my comments about amazon etc. I was not surprised to read about Dennis’s family experience. When companies grow too excessive sizes a multitude of problems take place and unless they are resolved it will affect the company long term.

In my opinion the reputation of a company will be damaged if there customer service is faulty. I am quite sure that amazon is in the throes of experiencing an extraordinary amount of returns for one reason or another, such as faulty merchandise, wrong size, wrong color and who knows what else.
