WIGGY’S BAGS GO AROUND THE WORLD
Jerry & Kok,
I have been using your products for over 30 years, primarily sleeping bags. When I initially started long backpacking trips, I like everyone else thought lighter was better and Down “ruled”. In the west in mild temps, 20-45*, it worked OK. In the southeast even at 40*, a 10-20* bag was cold and clammy! Finally, I discovered Wiggy’s, more weight but more than worth it! I shed lbs. elsewhere!
Since then Wiggy’s is my only go sleeping bag, and eventuality socks, jackets, ground covers, and mittens. From the AT to Canada to Alaska to Patagonia, to Mt. Blanc, to Dolomites and all the Alps. Wiggy’s has never let me down!
Please keep up the good work, and at some point, pass it down to someone that has your commitment to quality and truth. I want my grandchildren to enjoy the products it took me years to find!
Jerry Shive
Two days in a row that some one has reported his use of one of my sleeping bags for 30 years and counting. It is very gratifying to know of the longevity of my bags.
As for Jerry’s grandchildren enjoying Wiggy’s products bought by them in the future I hope so.
The reality of why my products last as-long-as they do, and so far, I do not know how long that will be is a testament to the durability of the Lamilite/Climashield product.
I have a few bags that were made by my old company Olam that date from 1976 that are still useable and they were insulated with the original Lamilite made with Polar Guard so I am not at all surprised that the Lamilite/Climashield product is still performing after 30 years.
The beauty of the continuous filament fiber among the many beauties that it has is the fact that in normal use whether it is a sleeping bag or jacket is that it the continuous filament product does not deteriorate as all other material forms that are used as insulation in these types of products. And why is this durability so important, because the most important component of an insulated product is the insulation of course!
Maybe at some point in time those companies that market what they call insulated products will finally wake up and move into the use of Lamilite /Climashield which I would gladly sell them. Just so you know I am not holding my breath waiting for this to happen.
CHEMICALS
The other day I saw a headline about a garment company putting CBD oil infused into their garments. I did not read the article but will report about it when it is again spoken of in the SBG publication.
