TRUTH IN ADVERTISING

I purchased one ducksback jacket from Wiggy. I am pleased with two things: one Wiggy sold a product that does as he said it would do that's a big plus and two: I am pleased that he told the "truth" about his product. Which leads me to say because he is a man of his word he has me as a customer, for all of my cold weather needs. I suggest to all people to buy from Wiggy.

I have since the inception of my company (also throughout my life) learned to always tell the truth because when you do you never have to remember what you have said.

As the owner of a company that manufactures products that are used in situations that can be fatal to people I have always believed that any person buying my sleeping bags is putting their life in my hands, and I do not like to lose customers. On occasion I have refused to sell a bag to someone who is intending to use it in an environment that I do not believe the bag will perform in. as an example a 20 year old kid from the Philadelphia area was going to that a course at the NOLS operation in December or January in the Wind River Range and he wanted a super light zero degree bag. I asked if he had ever been there at that time of year and he said no. I asked who told him that he should bring a zero degree bag. He said the NOLS people. I said that a -20 degree bag; the Ultima Thule would be the more appropriate bag to use. The long and the short of the story is that I would not sell him a zero degree bag for use in the Wind River Range in December or January.He was angry but I did not care. Unfortunately since Paul Petzold had the school and retired they at NOLS have steadfastly refused to buy my bags and chose to use bags from China that are not suited for use in the Wind River Range.

There is reality to my story and it is called truth.

The reference to the Ducksback material referred to by deralow is that I have represented it as the most water resistant material I have ever come across as well as being vapor permeable. It does not have any ability to breathe.

As the owner of a company that makes and sells what the industry likes to refer to as “technical” products I have used almost all in a variety of conditions over the years and know very well what capabilities my products will perform in. I also have acquired a multitude of testimonials from customers who have used my products in conditions that I have not encountered nor will I ever. Such as use in Antarctica. I have published the testimonials for years as a guide for customers new and old so they can make decisions about my products if they are going to experience some of the conditions written about to me.

There was a program on television years ago ‘TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES”, the reality is if you purchase any Wiggy product you have gotten the truth about it before you make the purchase. However, when one purchases other products that are said to be the same from other companies you may very well pay the consequences.

My opinion; the rest of the industry has no idea of the meaning of the word truth!!!

LEG CRAMPS FOLLOWUP

It has been two months at least since I started taking the two 1000 gram magnesium pills and have not experienced any leg cramps. I had them for 10 or 12 years as best I can remember so the magnesium has worked for me.
