TWO TESTIMONIALS OF PRODUCTS RARELY MENTIONED
The Slumber Bag: Durable and Comfortable
We
have four of these sleeping bags and they have held up well after years of use.
The rectangular "Slumber Bag" is a simple and comfortable sleeping
bag or blanket. The zippers are large and heavy duty which makes them easy to
zip and unzip without snags or difficulty.
If you have kids and want a sleeping bag that will stand up to hard use--these
are the bags to buy. These sleeping bags are easy to store and easy to wash.

Makes an Excellent Insulating Torso Wrap or Skirt/Kilt as Well As Being A Great Ground Pad
Just
wanted to share a secondary use for this "ground pad". .When belted
around the body, It makes a great improvised torso wrap/insulated kilt/skirt.
The ground pad, wrapped around the body, adds the equivalent of a winter coat's
warmth to the section of body it is secured around, AND it is flexible enough
to not impair leg movement--I used it this way last week when a storm front
came in while I was out on my bike (April in new England) and was able to
continue to wear it on my bike ride home. (I have often belted tarps around me
in this fashion as well when confronted with inclement conditions)
With the ground pad forming an insulated skirt around me and my picnic blanket
tied over my shoulder as a cape I went from near shivering to instantly warm
and in fact spent two more pleasant (and safe from hypothermia) hours from well
before dusk to dark on an overlook along the Connecticut River. (I did also
have a tarp with me to stop the wind and rain while I was sitting)
Great piece of kit with more than one use. Thank you, Mr. Wiggy.
Also, with it belted around your waist (use a belt or a short length of rope) it becomes a combined sit pad and highly insulated skirt. Pretty amazing when the temp drops.

I always enjoy getting testimonials about rarely mentioned products, it is good for me to hear about them. the truth about the ground pads happens to be that we sell a significant number of them. in many cases it is because the people who buy them are tired of the thermarest ground pads because they seem to have a tendency to get holes in them which makes them useless. They have a 30 plus year history as far as I know of this happening. So, I credit thermarest with getting me more ground pad sales.
As for the slumber bag, I think it would be a good investment if you want a lightweight bag for your children since the slumber bag like all the rest of my sleeping bags contain no chemicals. Those that are available in literally every retail store in the country come from China and I do not think concerned parents want to subject their children to those damned chemicals and now possibly coronavirus. I did hear on the news today it is coming here, isn’t that great.
Thanks to Cody and Steve for their testimonials.
