During the past few years hammock camping has increased significantly.
I have been asked on several occasions if I make an insulated panel that will fit under the hammock due to the air flow that occurs between the bottom of the hammock and the ground. The answer is yes. I made some samples for Hennessey Hammock which did not develop into any business but I had the pattern so I made this insulated panel for several customers. They worked okay but as time has gone by hammocks have changed so the design has become somewhat obsolete.
I did not realize that I had a sleeping bag that actually makes the insulated under panel obsolete. The sleeping bag model named the Freedom Shelter sleeping bag. It is a center zipped bag that does not have a foot box as is seen on all other sleeping bags. It has a draw cord closure that will close up around the foot end of the hammock. Of course being a center zippered bag means that it will go completely around the hammock with you in it which makes the need for the insulated under panel unnecessary. The hood end configures like the foot end of the hammock. Being a center zippered bag is also an advantage when you get into and out of the hammock.
An additional feature about the bag is the center opening in the center seam of the bag so it can be worn as a poncho.
There is also the Freedom Shelter itself that can also be used over and around the hammock. If you were to buy one of the bags and also the Freedom Shelter it would be at a 30 percent discount. The Freedom Shelter is a water-proof poncho that will fit over the sleeping bag. having these two items can certainly reduce the amount of clothing that one would normally wear. These products are multi-purpose.
The pricing is as follows:
