WHAT IF?
What if the “preparedness and survivalist thinking and acting people are correct”!
What if the climatologists who believe the world temperatures are dropping such as is written about in the 2016 Farmer’s Almanac are correct!
Wiggy’s products principally sleeping bags have been purchased by people since the concern of the potential problems in 1998 on who were concerned about what would happen when we went from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000. Since then the Wiggy’s bags have become the choice of people wanting to be prepared if social unrest becomes a problem.
Why chose a Wiggy’s bag? Wiggy’s has been manufacturing sleeping bags since late 1986 and those bags that have been sold since are for the most part still being used by the original owners and that is a long time, so getting a Wiggy’s bag means years of use. The durability is so good the need to ever replace Wiggy bag is remote, but keep in mind they do have a life time guarantee. This also means they become quite inexpensive.
Wiggy’s bags are the most accurately rated sleeping bags made since sleeping bags were started in as far as I can research in 1895 in Finland. So you can be assured of not getting cold if you use your Wiggy’s bag in the temperature range it is made for. I do not believe that any of the rating of any other brand of bag made for temperatures below plus 40 degrees F actually perform at those temperatures
Wiggy’s bags are used for weeks at a time and never lose their insulating capabilities as happens with every other bag made especially down insulated bags. We know from human use that the moisture from the human body is absorbed by the down starting the first day it is used and the bag gets progressively heavier and flatter which means less insulating capability. I doubt one could last more than 5 to 10 days at best. All of the other bags made with synthetic fiberfill have in total never worked as rated.
Wiggy’s bags do not lose their functioning abilities even if they happen to get wet. As many have experienced when they, their clothing and the bag get wet, once in a place where they can no longer be subjected to the source of the wet such as rain they and their clothing in the bag as well as the bag dry. The drying is as a direct result of the person’s body heat driving the moisture out of the clothing and bag over a period of 8 to 10 hours. This performance just does not happen with any other insulation other than Lamilite.
Wiggy’s bags can be left in their stuff sacks for years at a time without ever losing their lofting ability. We know this to be true because Wiggy’s bags and other Wiggy’s products are vacuum packed under 20 tons of pressure a process that takes between 2 and 4 hours for the Air Force survival kits. These vacuum packed bags respond back when broken out of the blister packaging. So keeping them in their compression stuff sacks does not negatively affect them. This is important to know if you chose to construct a “bug out pack”.
Launder-ability; is there one other company that sells sleeping bags that wants you to wash there sleeping bag if you buy it? The answer is an unequivocal NO! Why, because they actually know that the laundering process will destroy the bags they sell. Wiggy’s bags can be and are laundered dozens of times if not hundreds of times, why because they can be. Washing enhances the bag versus hurting the bag.
If the climatologists who believe we are entering a cooling of the earth are correct the need for cold weather sleeping bags and clothing will increase out of necessity. Not only are Wiggy’s bags the absolute most efficient cold weather bags ever made but so are our clothing products. I have written extensively about them especially the need to have fishnet underwear in the past.
In the event the “what if” were to become reality, and I certainly do not know and would prefer not to see such things happen I believe my products would be the best of their type to have at the ready.
