TESTIMONIALS COMING IN DAILY MAKE MY DAY DAILY
And thank you for the quality products, Jerry! In Tucson, there is not a tremendous need for cold weather gear, but, a number of years ago you sold me a Hunter Thule, and it is the finest, warmest and longest lasting bag I have ever owned. Sometimes I wish I did not buy the heavy duty bag, because I get HOT in it! Used it 2 weeks ago, was in the back of the car and never zipped it up. High 30's I think. My buddies said it was pretty cool that night. I had to tell them that I slept very warm.
I have used it in the high teens and it performs wonderfully! The only bag I have ever had that even comes close was a flannel coleman and I would damn near freeze my toucus off if it got below 30. (If he damn near froze how could that be close, oh well)That includes a Peak one, and a Mountain hardware. Those bags sucked! (How true)
Jim Rawles convinced me to buy your product, and I am glad I did. It is almost ten years old, I have used it in the field and at home, I have washed it a hundred times and it still looks and works like new. Full loft, does not stain, no rips or tears, and if I am not careful, I wake up sweating.
I will be buying a lighter bag in the near future, as I am going to start backpacking again. But with *winter* coming, I thought that I would like the comforter for the brutal Southern Arizona nights! If the Hunter bag is any preview, I may save a bit on the heat bill from here on out.
Thanks Jerry!

HERE IS A TESTIMONIAL FROM GERMANY
Please note the companies whose products he had that did not work. Each of these companies uses “chopped staple polyester fiberfill”.
Hello there,
some minutes ago I
came back from hunting. Today we had our first snow here in Bavaria (Germany)
and I had to go out and enjoy the silence.
I was sitting in a
tree-blind in my ftrss bag with my booties on (redundancy). I was so toasty
warm, I fell asleep several times. After five hours of glassing, hoping for a
winter fox for my girls and relaxed sleep (hunting sleep is the best) I got
back to my car. The thermometer showed -5 degrees Celsius, not very low, but
cold enough sitting absolutely still to get a fox or boar.
For shorter
excursions I wear my Lamilite socks. I prefer to wear thin wool socks inside the
Lamilite socks. For some reason I am getting cold if I wear nylon or polyester
next to my skin. So they worked perfectly for me.
Two years ago I
gave the socks to my wife as a birthday present. Between the other stuff, her
look was like "what the f... are those things?" Half a year later she
told me " this socks saved me, without them I wouldn`t have made it over
the Alps back". She is an avid Harley biker and visited the biggest
meeting in Europe at Faak (nice name ;o)) on her way back she met some adverse
weather.
25 years ago in the
German army I nearly froze my balls off, surely my toes were so frostbitten
that I have still problems today. 2002 I learned of Wiggys after I suffered
from unsufficient equipment again in Bosnia. I tried that Lamilite stuff and it
was great. My ftrss bags are still as good as in 2002.
I was cold in army
gear, snugpack stuff, ajungilak, carinthia. Life is too short and precious to
have pains from hypothermia while urinating.
Most manufacturers
are just braggards. Wiggy is the only one I trust with his stuff completely.
I have only one
complaint the shipping costs to Germany are murderous. With reasonable costs
there would be not one piece of fleece left in my house. But that complaint
does not go to Wiggy, but to the powers that be.
Best regards,
Johann Eckmann
THE PRIMARY REASON PEOPLE GET COLD AND DO NOT SLEEP IN ALL OTHER SLEEPING BAGS
Generally speaking most people will wear some clothing when they get into their sleeping bags. The clothing they are wearing in most instances they have been wearing all day. The clothing will have accumulated a significant amount of moisture and in addition when they eat before getting into their sleeping bags they will have warmed up and generated additional moisture. If this moisture is left in their clothing it will cool and start absorbing the heat from their body and in a short period of time they will become cold.
This is a problem that exists with literally all other sleeping bags sold other than Wiggy’s. It has to do with the insulating material used in the non-sleeping bag, bag versus the Wiggy sleeping bag.
If the insulation is not adequate to retain the heat produced by the human body then the moisture that is in the clothing will not evaporate out of the clothing. Therefore the fabric plus the moisture is absorbing the body heat. The end result is being cold and not sleeping. That is the explanation as to why people get cold in all other brands of what is commonly called sleeping bags, which I call non-sleeping bags.
It is now common knowledge that ALL persons who use a Wiggy’s sleeping bag experience even if they are wet that their body produced moisture evaporates and as a vapor is driven out of the sleeping bag by the heat of their own body. It is also common knowledge if the bag is wet from rain or any other reason the same body heat will cause it to dry overnight.
The primary difference is the Lamilite/Climashield performs in a manner that cannot be duplicated by any chopped staple fiber. The reason is simple chopped staple fiber has very limited capacity to trap body heat since it is always quilted and if not it has no resilience.
Now you know why you will always not sleep if you buy any brand of bag that uses chopped staple fiberfill.
