I KNEW IT WOULD EVENTUALLY HAPPEN

I knew it would eventually happen, goretex would see its waterloo.

The coronavirus is the culprit.

Goretex will not be the only bogus waterproof breathable material in the marketplace to fail as well.

As we know most of the outerwear garments sold in stores with these bogus claims about them being waterproof and breathable are made in Asia, mostly China.

I know for fact that the greatest number of these garments are made there because of the cost of manufacturing. By the way this also holds true for the boot industry.

There is a very significant number of garments and boots in inventory over there that will not be coming into the country because there is a significant number of these products in inventory in the stores that are yet to open here.

When these stores do open, they will probably put what will be considered old inventory on sale to move it out. Eventually the finished goods in Asia will be shipped to these stores IF they move the old inventory.

Now if these companies that have been selling goretex material made garments or boots think about their products made with this bogus material come to realize it does not work is very expensive they may decide to terminate its use.

All of this can happen as a result of the coronavirus.

The following caption of an article is taken from SPORTING GOODS BUSINESS.

I did not go much beyond this first paragraph since I was not wearing chest waders. One more or two more companies aligning themselves as a producer of a product that will kill the coronavirus. I am surprised that they did not include heiq company chemicals in their mix of components.

If these companies have developed chemicals that kill the coronavirus why aren’t they packaging it in spray cans and selling it to the consumers so they can kill the coronaviruses if they get into their homes.

This is as idiotic a scheme as I have ever read about. I do not believe schindler has the knowledge of how any drug that is put into a fabric can be control released. What drug not drugs but one single drug can be put into the yarns before it is knitted or woven. Is it added to a solution of dye when coloring the yarns? How much of the medical chemical is added and how does it get out of the yarns? I could go further asking questions, that can not be answered, but will stop here.

This guy schindler is the perfect example of a charlatan or snake oil salesman.

There is a company by the name of “nufabrx” that is or will be marketing stockings such as those worn by people with edema. Will you be able to order these stockings with different medicines infused in them?

They show the fabric used as stall drapes that would go between examining cubicles or within a hospital room. How do they know the virucidal chemical can kill 99.5 percent of the coronavirus and if so for how long? maybe the material will be used for gowns as well. If so, they will be laundered and therefore how long will the chemical last in laundering.

Will serge put this technology into materials for fashion clothing to be worn daily to ward off catching the coronavirus?

Every day I read about something new in the textile industry being developed as a result of the coronavirus that is guaranteed to keep you safe from contacting the virus.

For years people in companies have suddenly developed a new this or that product without thinking. I have on many occasions pointed out that literally every company that has put into the marketplace a new insulation for use in outerwear and/or sleeping bags has never been used for either but the companies that offer these products say marvelous things about their performance capabilities. They simply say these things using language that they think sounds good. They have never thought about what it takes to make an insulation that may work and then tested it for a full winter season in all weather conditions to really know if it will perform.

The greatest of all of the non-thinking companies is w.l. gore!! The head of the company is supposed to be the greatest example to those hired by the company. Since bobby and bill gore chose not to think about the product that they ultimately made and have successfully marketed even though it never has performed in the manner that they ”thought” it could, they set the precedent so all of the people hired has no choice but to follow along with what they said or not have a job. Those that chose to stay and work in the textile division of the company are the ones who chose to follow the precedent of not thinking set by bobby and bill gore. This is the culture of the company.

I do not want to further tax my brain with examples of the non-thinking that has gone on and continues too, still as we can see the non-thinking still goes on in the textile industry.

Do you know why snake oil salesman live long lives? because they don't drink their own concoctions.
